Hello!

I am currently trying to fix a bug with the Rugan Questline to unlock the Zhent trader! For context this is in a honor mode save so I can't just reload the game. My buddy knocked out Rugan and killed Olly, I have never done this before but assumed if we took the chest we could deliver to the lady ourselves.

After accepting the quest from her she keeps asking us about her people but we can hand over the chest. I figured a long rest would revive Rugan and then he would either make his way to the hideout or I would need to talk with him and then he would show up. Neither happened and when I went back to the gnoll cave Rugan was just gone, the quest is still saying we need to finish off the survivors and I still can't give Zarhys the chest.

Do any of you lovely people know the quest flag code for this? I would love to use cheat engine to simply flag either Rugan as dead or the quest as complete so we can get to the trader but the only resource I can find for quest flags are all the romance flags. Any thoughts?

How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

I need help addtag doesn't work in multiplayer.... Idk what to do did i press sosem burton the command doesn't work properly too but the script for the items work just the tag idk really any help? I need the branded tag for my fucked combo on my friends char
I think I understand what you're saying but post the codes so we can see what you're doing.
Just some basics:
Only the leader can activate codes.
You can modify player companion if you take control of their character.

There are a few ways to apply tags. Unless the tag is visible in their character card it's probably not activated (some tags aren't visible but BRANDED will show up).

Code: Select all

{$lua}
if syntaxcheck then return end
tag = "310f7186-bb0b-4905-b8f6-dfc2fe62570a" -- BRANDED
[ENABLE]
SetTagOnPlayer(tag)
[DISABLE]
ClearTagOnPlayer(tag)
"310f7186-bb0b-4905-b8f6-dfc2fe62570a" -- BRANDED
"11491bda-fa57-44ed-a306-a13fdf8e3b82" -- TRUESOUL

I personally wouldn't test out flags on an honor run! To prevent potential game breaking issues, use as few codes as possible. Flags are often grouped with other flags and sometimes used as triggers so applying them individually or out of synch might break your game in unforeseeable ways. If you still want to proceed here are a few things you might consider in order of safety:

1. Cheat in the items you want from Brem's "secret shop" ("22bf3680-a37f-4a04-b036-2865805f3d60" -- Harold)
2. Teleport Rugan to you and kill him properly (he might be invisible/off-stage if he doesn't show up. easy fix)
3. Execute Call a death on Rugan (potential crash)
4. Force the quest to be completed (potential issues but it'll look finished for the completionists out there)
5. Look up flags and try them until something clicks (not advisable. best used in sandbox)

Hey Furioustortoise, what is the code to "summon"/teleport a NPC somewhere, i could try this to knockout my tiefling for my d'urge issue :p
and also is there a way to get her UUID not sure the script in the UUID Sniffers would work on her nvm for that, found it on bg3wiki

If alive, Alfira will be playing her music above the Druid Camp until she goes to visit you that night. Unfortunately, knocking Alfira out won't be enough. The game uses a cutscene to kill her so you'd probably have to beat the game to it and kill her first. That way the game will swap her out with the other stand-in for the Durge cutscene. I personally would rather find a way to skip that scene entirely (without killing her) or remove the Durge quest. I spent a bit of time on it myself, but you said it only stalled the inevitable cutscene so I'm not sure which flags you need. Enjoy the grind of sandboxing!

Killing Alfira outright carries its own risks. But then again it might fine. If you can resurrect her and she still talks to you it's all good. Anybody scripted disliking you killing Alfira will still hate you for it. There's a large chance that killing the character would put her into a limbo paper-doll state of non-communication... that happens (during my testing) with most resurrected NPCs.

All that being said, you can summon (teleport her to you) with a code from my table:
L33T H4CK3R C0D3Z -> EXECUTE CALL CODES -> Spawns + Summons -> Teleport Entity

You'll need to go into the <script> of this code and past over the Emperor's UUID with Alfira's.

You can find Alfira's (along with many, many more) in my table under the Transformations tab of EXECUTE CALL CODES. Alfira is a Humanoid -> Tiefling.
You'd copy her UUID (from the <script> of that code) and paste it over the Emperor's UUID of Teleport Entity.

*right, BG3wiki has all character UUIDs in the Technical dropdown.
