The only downside to this is organised groups that use the bypass to play modded PVP against each other. Granted you can use the PakCacher method but depending on how many edits are in your group's list that's a lotta caches to remake.
Tbh, didn't check cache remake method, but if it works as I expect it to work - I'll stop updating my exe, because even if I'll add that "appcrash" for pvp, that won't help much.
Edit: checked .cache remake app, kudos for it's creator, yet it's only allow you to launch the game with modded .pak files, but "avf" still kicks in, so no online with that method.

You're exe works for me but once I edit my pak files with mods I still need to use pakcacher to make a cache file otherwise the game crashes. But with that it works fine. Thank you.

I haven't tried the PackCacher method yet myself, every time I almost get my mod updated and nearly ready to build a new cache file the game gets updated. xD So I've been using your .exe to test as I'm closing and launching the game every 5 minutes to make sure my new armor entries have taken and it's been an absolute godsend, lotta armor entries, lotta combinations, lotta zipping default_other and restarting the game.

Are you deleting or renaming the cache file to .cache.disabled? You only need ot rebuild the cache file with the bypass if you want a cache file, I have the caches of my edited files disabled and the .exe and launchprotected game combo works for me.

it says i cant play the game due to a steam api error but i own it on epic is there maybe a work around ?
I don't have EGS exe, so either you can post it here and I'll see what I can do. Or you can post your error message here, may be others already have solution for that problem.

Mine's no longer working today with no changes on my end (Can't see a sneaky steam update anywhere) so I'm in your basket as well. Turns out my cache file had somehow renamed itself and removed the disabled tag when I shut down my pc lastnight. Renamed it again and it's working again for me.
It worked the day before but when i tried launching it today its stopped working.
Same here, I was on lastnight confirming some of my mod changes and it was working fine, then I try to boot it up today and it crashed after I hit continue game so I'd hazard a guess something changed on their end. Well, you didn't make it public, so google drive says "access denied". Regardless "text editor", it's not "text editor", it's x64dbg.

Just checked re-creating .cache file app, seems like we're on the long run, untill devs add some kind of "private lobby with mods" stuff or whatever. No rest for the wicked I guess.

Yeah I've just used it myself to mod the server files, your bypass doesn't seem to work when I modify the default_other.pak in server (I changed the squad size to 6 and gave all my bots plasma rifles, and my Heavy bot now has a power hammer) and I had to use the pakcacher to get it to take. Is there a separate cache check in the .exe for the server stuff?
Straban looks so beast with the power hammer in his gravis armor, I wish I could use melee on my Heavy so damn bad.

Well, I figured out what was the problem, server starts from dll, so here is patched dll [Link]
That's just a proof of concept and since there is already solution for that problem (re-caching), I won't update it after patch. Untill ppl ask for that at least.
