Worked in private lobby for all I care. If it doesn't - don't hesitate to post in comments your bug report (with condition: what you modified, game mode, lobby, etc) or inform me any other way you see fit.

Since topic is easier to find and requres less time to manage, I'll post my patched exe here. So that being said, here is what've "accompleshed" so far:

Password for archives above is "frf".
What does it do? Well, nothing new here, removes .cache file check and eac presence check.
"Installation" steps:
1) download exe, provided by the "link";
2) unpack it to your Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\bin\pc\ directory
3) dowload "start_protected_game.exe" from this post: viewtopic.php?p=369349#p369349
4) place it in your Space Marine 2\ directory
5) don't play pvp with cheats

And that's it.

I'm guessing, like some other modified game EXEs, they will add code to crash the app if PvP is initiated. I've seen a bunch of EXEs coded to do this to keep douchenozzles from using it in PvP in a mixed PvE/PvP game. And yeah I get there might be a " legit " use just before actual PvP is initiated (e.g. bumping PvP XP before a match to get to max level faster to avoid the grind and be on par with everyone else) but honestly there is no need when actually going against another player.

This however should be for PvP only. Not any form of PvE, so it should not crash in operations at all. A representative of the company that put out the game said that they do not care about mods etc as much as long as you aren't bothering other players.... However, it might not be necessary to add this to the EXE as people have been reporting those who cheat in PvP so it's not as widely seen as when the game first came out. It was super easy to bypass the protection in the beginning which equals more douchenozzles. JMHO

I've had some (possibly unrelated) errors with the Steam API as well. There's obviously some integration there. I've seen at least one other poster that the EXE (older version) won't work for with the Epic version. Can you try loading Steam in the background? Other than that I think you're SoL.

I don't have EGS exe, so either you can post it here and I'll see what I can do. Or you can post your error message here, may be others already have solution for that problem.

+1 For appcrash on PvP

The only downside to this is organised groups that use the bypass to play modded PVP against each other. Granted you can use the PakCacher method but depending on how many edits are in your group's list that's a lotta caches to remake.

I did the steps and the game opens for 5 seconds before closing, is there a obv step thats not mentioned in the tutorial?
