Re: [Early Request] Age of Wonders: Planetfall
So, options I'd love to see...
- Infinite money/resources/etc (naturally)
So there seems to be Energy (the basic "money" for most things), Cosmite (used for advanced stuff), Knowledge (research points) and Influence (used for diplomacy with players and NPCs)
- Infinite movement on map
- God mode for units in battle
- Infinite points for leader creation (let us make some broken leaders)
- Hero editor
Skill points at least. XP would be nice.
The core game seems to be built heavily off the AoW 3 engine. So anyone making a table might want to compare with the tables for that game to see if there's any connections. I remember how Civ: Beyond Earth could actually use the table from Civ V and most options worked fine. :p

Re: [Early Request] Age of Wonders: Planetfall
It's pretty awesome so far. Just made a couple of leaders and messed about in the early campaign.
It does play very similar to AoW 3.
Some of the main differences (beyond the sci-fi setting of course):
- Cities aren't single expanding tiles anymore. You colonize a sector (similar to how Endless Legend works) and get access to all that's in it. Each colony can then exploit neighboring sectors (you also can't place a colony in a sector next to one with a colony in it). So you've got less individual cities and more focused power bases that basically control large territories (so the map isn't just flooded with countless cities).
- The equipment setup is different. Less slots, but seems to be more ability based. So now you get a primary and secondary weapon along with three mods. Heroes can also ride vehicles/monsters.
- You pick a race and a secret tech (sort of how AoW3 combined races and classes). You get all your race's stuff, along with the tech tree for your secret tech. You don't actually know what secret tech a faction has until you see them use it. So unlike AoW3 you don't know someone's a Mage or Marshal at a glance, you'd have to see what units and abilities they use against you. Of course, you also seem to be able to find techs of different sorts from exploration, so that makes it harder to tell until someone just has a lot of units from a specific tech in play. :p
- You know have visual and scanner range. So your visual range is standard, while scanner range lets you detect some thing beyond sight range, but without specifics. So you might know there's a unit on the other side of that mountain, but you don't know what it is until you get closer.

Skill points are 4 byte and easy to find after one level up. You get 5 points for a level up, search, spend 2, search, spend 2 and you find the adress.

Any idea how to get unit XP? (Grunts and or heroes)

Re: [Early Request] Age of Wonders: Planetfall
There are cheat codes and they work on the release version, don't know if it will stay that way since some devs like to disable console and cheats in later patches. No god mode though, which is what I wanted the most.
While playing the game, press Ctrl + Alt + C to display the console window. Then, type one of the following codes and press [Enter] to activate the corresponding cheat function:
Code – Effect
barentz – explores the map and turns off fog of war
cruijff – all units have infinite movement
hauer – level up all units and heroes in the selected army
hein – win the current game
leeuwenhoek – completes the current research
philips – completes the production queue in every city
rembrandt – grants 100000 Energy and Cosmite
tasman – explores the map
