[REQ] : Nomads of the Fallen Star
[REQ] : Nomads of the Fallen Star

Re: [REQ] : Nomads of the Fallen Star
If you guys find anything to help us amateurs, really appreciate it. Somehow it feels like the cheat engine days are over and now developers are tryhard in trying to protect their single player games from cheating. And sadly, although I have an inkling of how much time they invested to make the game itself, I cannot for the life of me have the time to cater to how we're 'supposed' to play the game. Really, I just want to have a minuscule moment where I feel special in a daily work environment where we're trudging through just to support the fantasies and demands of everyone else. So please, someone, tell me if it's possible to cheat in this game with cheat engine. If not, I'll just move on until there's a trainer or something.

Such a dumb message. You not knowing how to cheat, doesn't mean that it's not possible. It's just that you don't know how to properly use Cheat Engine.Erudite01 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 5:24 pmIf you guys find anything to help us amateurs, really appreciate it. I would love to do AOB and Lua Scripts, or whatever cheating program you'll probably tell me in how it's 'so' easy. I just find the learning process tedious and really, I would rather spend that hour or more less confused about how I'm getting old and not understanding the latest and most preeminent way to hack a game compared to when I had all the time in the world during them teenage years. I'm just an old shitty adult whose life got f*ed over so the rest of society doesn't have to work and can browse the internet all day. Now, goddamn make me a cheat table so you can feel better about your F*king bombastic and shitty life for all of society knows isn't even remotely so.GreenHouse wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 7:35 pmSuch a dumb message. You're dumb af actually. Not everyone has a lot of time, just as the guy explained after your reply. I for example serve in the Military Police of my country, I'm 24/7 under service, and I barely even have time, I get only 1/2 hours max of free time every day(Except Sunday, which I have the day off),now tell me, should I spend those 1-2 hours properly eating/making a cheat table-cheating/downloading some game/go out/chat/go out with my family/visit my family? Not everyone has a lot of time like you think.GreenHouse wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 7:35 pmSuch a dumb message. You not knowing how to cheat, doesn't mean that it's not possible. I'm just like him, except my life not being fucked, going pretty well, PTSD-free, and all that kind of shit.
Though yes, Erutide, your last reply was kind of mean, remember, these guys here have done a lot for us who enjoy games for fun free of charge, or other things.
Re: [REQ] : Nomads of the Fallen Star
If cheating is "fun", that's the developer responsibility to add that features not ours.
We cheat maker are only hobbyist. We make cheat if we are interest.
You play the game that developer made and the developer is the one you pay, not us.
Until some cheat maker pick an interest to this game, you should spend your time finding/playing other games that're like this lah (or learn something).
There're a lot of games out there.
Regards.

What does the time even have to do in this conversation? Did you even read his message or mine? I said that saying that the cheat engine days are over just because you can't cheat a game is dumb. What are you even answering here?Jasinn wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 1:40 amYou're dumb af actually. Not everyone has a lot of time, just as the guy explained after your reply. And that's what I replied to, I'm not dumb because I don't know how to properly use Cheat Engine, but the thing is that I don't have lots of free time.

Then that means that you don't have a basic English comprehension. Because you're going from what I said, to something you think I said.Jasinn wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 12:59 pm"Such a dumb message. Just saying that I said you're dumb, and still keep talking about having or not free time, shows how you're not understanding anything and you didn't even bother to read my last comment.

Re: [REQ] : Nomads of the Fallen Star
I found a way around it. It's awkward, and does not use CE, but it works.
The game is programmed using Node.js, which is from what I have read very hard to mess with once it is in memory. However, in the root dir of the game there is a file called "package.nw". This is a zip file, it is required for any node.js program, and it contains all of the data files and assets for the game.
Open package.nw using your compression program of choice, I used 7-zip. Then, scroll through the big list until you find a file called "data.js". This contains pretty much the entire game's logic, it is very large. It also contains item info, every version of every weapon and armor. The data is not well specified, with each element being identified by position in the code rather than tags, but you can deduce what represents what with a little patience.
What I did was, knowing that Varon starts with a basic sword, I searched for the text blurb from the basic sword mouseover "a single-edged blade made from steel", found the multiple chunks of data that are near that string, and then searched within that chunk for the zen value of the basic item, in this case 300. I found it in a tag of the form "[0,300]".
Change the 300 to an arbitrarily high value and save the data.js file. Then drag and drop it into the package.nw file that is open in 7-zip or whatever and say yes that you do want to add the file to the archive. It will copy over the existing version, and then the next time you boot the game and start a fresh save, you can sell Varon's sword and never have to trudge through another trade run again.
