Cheat Engine on Linux

Been thinking of dropping Windows, but don't think some games would be quite as fun without CE tables.
So, has anyone had success running CE under Linux? Or maybe know some alternative, native program that can run CE tables?

get ceserver for linux and run it as root

then use wine to run the CE gui and connect it to ceserver
