The trouble was that it didn't just increase number of feats per level. It increased the number of
abilities that you could
select. That means it included things like bloodlines, of which you can only have one (and selecting several can break things), and things that there are only a few of to select, so you'd end up not being able to level up at all. And all that is if it actually let you select them since it did a different check later on (but sometimes it does let you). You can definitely add feats properly through CE, but not easily.
More than one bloodline not just multiple bloodline feats? Though I would like the former, I can see how that can cause alot of problem. the game defaults to your first bloodline choice if you try to multiclass with one that can choose one too, so you only ever have one.
Exhausting the pool of feats and not being able to finish leveling up, could maybe "fixed" by setting the feats to zero. I don't know how the function you for the script works to begin with, so maybe that isn't possible at all.
Warning players only to use it on there last feat selection, when it won't be a problem might work.
Unfortunately there isn't just a variable saying "allow x feats" that I could set to a different number.
Yeah, that's what I meant with moding the progression in files. A simple list like "level 1 = get char 1 feat, 1 attribute" and then the same for classes "you get that stuff on class creation". There where games like that, but this doesn't seem to be one of them.
The next best thing might be item modding. Simply creating a ring or amulet that gives a ton of feats as boni. But again not sure if the game even allows that.
As a Sorcerer who wants some metamagic and doesn't get any magic feats through his class, I am forced to use my character feats for that. Well that or cheat myself a multiclass wizard.
Hope you get to play the game too and not just doing an awesom job providing us with evermore table options.
