Re: citra emulator help
Most people here don't know how to fix it either.
Do you have the latest version of Citra? The latest ones run it fine for me.
It could be your hardware. How old is your computer?

Re: citra emulator help
Hey DRummerix
My computer is only 2 or 3 years old now
and my computer specs are
Processor: Intel R Core TM i7-4970k CPU @ 4.00 GHZ 4.00GHZ
Ram: 8.00GB
Could a portable usb hard drive make games not run that well
and yes i have the latest version of citra

Re: citra emulator help
Do you have good GPU? Not sure what it could be really.
EDIT: I would try putting on regular hard drive also.

Re: citra emulator help
I don't know why it's not working for you to be honest. Sorry, I can't help you.
Re: citra emulator help
what type of GPU do i need to make this citra run 100% then
Re: citra emulator help
you have both the cpu and gpu needed to run everything at 100%. try checking the compatibility list on the citra website for starters to see if your game is properly emulated (if it's not good or great, don't bother trying anymore). also, if you're on a laptop, make sure that citra is set to run off of your nVidia gpu and not the integrated. if you're on a desktop though try looking for help in their forum, not in this one. also, NEVER run citra or the games from a USB stick, even on a 3.1 USB. always run them from your own HDD. one other thing you might want to consider: get an SSD (100 MB/s write speed at least). normal HDD's don't exactly have the power required to run the games above 15-20 FPS (tested on 5 HDD's so far, diferent computers and configurations).
you have 8GB of RAM... please tell me you only have citra opened and not anything else while playing (nothing in the background, task tray or wherever else). the minimum may be 4 GB with 8 GB recommended but some games will go up to a full 8GB used (ultra sun and monster hunter XX). never tried dragon quest since i never bought it so i can't help with data on that.
i'm currently running citra on an i7-7700HQ (at 2.8GHz) with a 1050TI and 16GB RAM at 45-60 fps without problems (not bragging, just telling you it's possible) while playing SMT Strange Journey Redux and Apocalypse.
