Highlighted Investigation Editor!

Well, sort of. I managed to figure out where they are and how they are stored, the only problem is, understand each segmented section and how they work. Some Byte values are harder to decipher than others. So here is a the editor with some "Identified functions". Simply talk to the research team and select an investigation then edit, those that are "Unknown" I recommend you do not touch.

I probably will need an extra hand or two to decipher the other addresses/offsets in order to fully manipulate investgations, but I did manage to change reward types and a few other parameters.

Update 1: Investigations and their parameters are starting to make more sense.
Offsets Identified:
  • C - The Primary Offset for Registered. It determines if you registered the investigation so it doesn't go away when you fill the list up!
  • 10 - The attempts you have remaining before it disappears, very useful.
  • ED - Locale information, this will allow you to modify the upcoming upsurges in that specific area!
  • EE - Time Limit / Multiple Targets, this controls the time limit you have 50, 30 or 15 m (0, 1, 2), while additional higher levels repeat the time cycle but with more targets (3,4,5). There might be more to this value.
  • F0 - Faint Reduction, is the amount of faints you have allowed before failing the mission, this will also change your rewards!
  • F1 - 2 Players Only, the boolean that controls if you can do this with 4, or 2 players.
  • F2 - Difficulty Modifier? I believe this might be the temper level 1-3 (0-2) value, so 0 being level 1, and 2 being Level 3. I could be wrong! Changes the rewards. Going above 2 will result in not being able to take the quest.
  • F3 - Reward Zenni Multiplier? The only thing this does, is change the amount of cash you get from the quest. The highest I have been able to use was 4. Though there may be more.


How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

If that's true the guy must've somehow modded the session or somehow gain control over it (which is very unlikely).
I don't think you can edit player's gamedata from just one quest - the guy claims that the cheater sets all your items to 999 - that's not possible as far as i could imagine. But change the quest reward might be possible.
I'm pretty sure he just screw up and edit himself hr 999 and don't want to start again so he just spreading fault news so when people see hr 999 some might think it might have been done by hacker or something like that lol
My thoughts exactly. Often more than not, the whistle blowers are in fact hackers/modders on either their own or alt accounts, or have received a ban prior to trigger them to show a "new leaf", youth logic basically. Veteran and older gamers are not stupid, they are more than aware of the % of players that lean towards modding/cheating/altering, and they rarely if ever go out of their way to discuss an already overly discussed topic from prior games. Much less in a non pvp game.

Regardless "griefing" or server exploits/alters are ban-able to the fullest extent in any game. Companies like Capcom+ who have an yearly revenue of over half a billion simply do not put care/thought into their ban streaks/actions. When the ban hammer falls down, the publicity around it gives people only affirmation that the game is taking action against it, thus drawing more people into it than they loose regardless of what goes down under the table.

Good news : Found the addresses for the debuff timers.
They're in front of the "defense" in Buffs/Defense/Resistance (Updates In Quest).

Bad news : Thunderblight is one of the debuffs that doesn't get the gfx portion activated when applied this way.

Also identified a whole bunch of other values and labeled them, sorted by address.
Unknowns that I have absolutely no idea what it does are simply labeled as "?", while unknowns that I have found at least something about are labeled with that info.

Good news : Found the addresses for the debuff timers.
They're in front of the "defense" in Buffs/Defense/Resistance (Updates In Quest).

Bad news : Thunderblight is one of the debuffs that doesn't get the gfx portion activated when applied this way.

Also identified a whole bunch of other values and labeled them, sorted by address.
Unknowns that I have absolutely no idea what it does are simply labeled as "?", while unknowns that I have found at least something about are labeled with that info.

Goodman. Being that I am no genius at this I will either forward this info towards some friends of mine or thread through it slowly while playing hit and miss.

The idea seemed pretty badass at the time cause who wouldn't want lightning discharge around their armor as they constantly quest. Has a bit of a DBZ feel to it.

It works. Here's the step

1.First Active Monster Size (You already did)
2.Active Large Monster Size (You also did)
3.Active Largest / Smallest according to your will (Miss this one)
4.There will be name of the monster and the number of their size, change this number [Mostly gold crown will be 123 for large and 88-90 for small ](Miss this one)
5. To actually get achievement you need to do an optional quest to hunt any large monster, just one is fine, and you will actually get gold crown and unlock achievement (Miss this one)
