The overheat button literally overheats your mech, shutting it down and forcing you to spend a turn turning it back on all the while the enemy gets called shots on your mech.
I suggest using it while you have an enemy mech targeted. :D
How to use this cheat table?
Install Cheat Engine
Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
Keep the list.
Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1
How did you tweak the salvage from missions?
well, this is a bit tricky. apparently, the game itself limits amount of selectable salvage to 7 - there is just no more slots in the UI (maybe iy can be changed, but i can't find where). and if you get more than 7, it will be a deadlock. happens with me after thirg story mission: 8 salvage and 7 slots -_- you can increase amount of salvage, but not much. also quality of salvage can be improved by increasing probability of rare/very rare weapons/parts.
Also, can you give the pilots all skills without issue? Or simply give them max stats?
if you just max pilot stats, then it will require 900 of Board Rep to hire him. to avoid this, just add 50000 of unspent xp, hire him and then max all stats. and yes, you can give any pilot-for-hire all 6 skills without issue (i have a team of mc and 3 ronin, all with max stats & all skills - and everything is fine). also, main character can be with max stats/skills from the very beginning, just need to edit files in "background" dir. and starting pilots (glitch, behemoth and a man (forget his alias)) can be "improved" without xp manipulation: just add all skills and max all stats. this is very useful for story missions where you forced to play with pre-set pilots.
U can edit tonnage, armor, hp even inv slots of each mechs, nothings will change ai bcs they have presets. For example i have set all mech tonnage for 1k, armor and hp to 10k and 2x more slots then original everywhere and when im fighting same mech they have max 900 armor 500hp etc...
Btw, can you put in the table. the hot key we use to add money and moral.
great Job ><
It's mentioned in this post. Why don't you read the entire topic for a change? Thank you!
Any chance of a "no heat" option?
Also, just point out, the CH trainer has options for super armor/structure and no armor/structure. Basically turn on the the cheat for super armor, right click a mech and mouse over all the sections. Anything you mouse over gets set to like 9999999 armor. Then just turn it off and you're basically unkillable for the fight.
The no armor thing works the same, and basically sets things to 1. So I've been using that to set a mech's head to 1 structure/armor, and give the rest of it super armor. I then just try to hit the head or keep knocking over the mech (as a pilot kill gets you 3 salvage for the mech).
They also have a "AI doesn't attack" option that seems to make the AI brainless for the most part. They'll just run together and clump up, doing pretty much nothing. Which naturally makes it all the easier to focus on taking your time to kill the pilot of a mech. lol
Anything like that would be awesome if you could do it too.

You can change all that in the game files.
You want SteamSteamAppsCommonBattletechBattleTech_DataStreamingAssetsdatasimGameConstantsSimGameConstants.json
Open that file with Notepad+ and you can tweak most aspects of the game.
The other folders in data will have specific things like mech specs, weapons, etc. You could do things like make all Heat Sinks and Jump Jets weigh 0, and then load up your mechs with them. :p
Please use the CH trainer and stop asking me to duplicate their work. Makes no sense. Thanks!
Im playing the gog version, and the table works perfectly
To those who play the GOG version, make sure you're playing the latest, updated one (piad). Not some torrent version. I won't take those into account, just so you know. Thanks!

Any chance for a change to the GodMode so it doesnt add the offensive boosts?
Moved some posts to Specific Game Discussions. Why? Because these aren't table-related. Continue here if you want to discuss modding and altering game files: https://fearlessrevolution.com/threads/battletech.6563.

And for the fellows for whom god mode is a step too far try using the overheat button in the debug window.
How do you access the debug window? I looked through this thread and some others and I didn't see it actually explained. I tried to use the fearlessrevolution Infinity, but it always stated that it failed to load the cheat.
Went and did what you asked here. When I pasted in the two values there to go to those addresses it reported that they were not valid addresses. Not sure if I did it wrong but yeah I couldn't get anything from it.
1) Open game, open Cheat Engine; target BattleTech.exe.
2) Open table, activate [ Enable ] script. Does the script enable? If yes, does the game crash at this point? If not, click up top in CE window where you see Mono (between D3D and Help menus) and tell me if you see this:

If that menu is active, then Mono enabling worked.
3) Enable Cheat Handler script. Did the script get enabled? If yes, go back in-game -- make sure you're in a mission -- and press Numpad 0. Do you see any GOD MODE text "said" by your Mechs?
