You should see a little pencil button on/above your post (I don't think it's restricted) that allows you to edit it.

Perhaps it is, or was, time limited for me. No worries as I see that no less than STN just responded! Ha ha. Nice.

Until you hit 10 posts, the max edit time is 1 hour. Once you hit 10 posts, that is lifted and you are able to create a signature as well as well as other perks. Its to limit spammers/bots when they first sign up. Since you have 10 posts now, you should be set.
