Anyone know the trick to finding the health of the defense object in Comrades defense missions? I know I know shut up it's not like matchmaking works anyway, this is for my own use only.
Escort missions (protecting the truck) are just a 4 byte, I found it pretty easily, but for some reason the defense missions (protecting the shack) seem to be different...?
may i ask how to use shop override id? nothing change in shop or game after enable
It's fairly simple. You enable the option and choose what you want in CE. Then go to shop and buy an item (any item). It gives you what you selected in CE instead of the item it says in game. It doesn't change anything in game except the item you get when you buy something.
Your hunter rank went over the 293 star count threshold. When that happens, the game will hang. I made the script with this in mind. With it enabled you'll never pass that 293 threshold as the script will check for that. The downside of this is you'll always have to have the script enabled until you hand in the LAST hunt. Also you can never fully reach level 10 until then. Notes further explaining this are in table extras.
I would have eventually started with string debugging. Another idea I had was watching what accesses health/mp/whatever, and use a debug function relating to one of those. Maybe something related to the debug functions would pop up, then just backtrace from there. So many damn ways to go about this, I always get a headache though jumping from call to call trying to figure everything out.. As for your little string reference, it reminds me of the questions Gladio asks Noct at certain point in the story. Where you choose a certain emotion (Show Frustration(Anger)/Show Resolve(Calm)) which in turn grant a certain status effect. Time.Wall could be referring to the time you get to answer the question. Q. A.. could mean Question and Answer, or something relating to the QA debug menu, if that's what you were looking into. Just speculation..
Thank you for your awesome work! I was also wondering whether it would be theoretically possible to swap main characters with Ardyn or Aranea (and the rest of the cast).
I've never done much more than the usual value-search with CE before looking at the 3 other tables in here. I don't know if this is true for all games, but what makes the whole search for the debugmenu annoying is that the game gets and sets values from an area that is constantly filled with random bytes. Doing a simple break and trace forces you to spend hours just for a tiny bit of info before having to start again. It's the same story with my modelswap: it reads from the area I overwrite then inserts them in an area where the values will be randomized in a millisecond. :/
I saw you used Ultimap (or was it Cielos?) and after a bit of reading it seems this would be a better way. I'll find out in 30. :d
Anyways, enough rambling. Damn concerta. The damn drug caused me to learn simple assembly in a day and now I'm hooked.
Edit: Also that emo thing popped up as I was finishing the modelswapper. Was looking for a more permanent solution that isn't as errorprone, but the value just disappeared after changing a model. Hopefully Ultimap can find the function for me.
Enable at title screen.
Load
Check gear menu - if the names are invisible, save in a new slot and reload that save.
NOTE: The game will remove locked stuff like noodle, kings knight etc when you load the game without this enabled. The only non-hardlocked outfits it doesn't remove are AC outfit, thermal suit, and outfits you can get ingame already.
How to use modelswapper:
Activate at title screen (game will crash if you activate it later!).
Either load, or make your selection with the dropdown menus now.
Go to gear menu and select an the FIRST outfit, and voila. Now change to whatever outfit you want. Do not, some outfits will use their 'original' models/heads. Will add those later today.
PS:: Yes I know Episode Ignis has his shirt and pants on and they stick through other outfits. Can't do much about that.
Update 9: Added a testing version of a character swapper. Not all models are accounted for (f.ex asscreed Noctis will use young model). Will add those when I get back from work. For now, enjoy the selection.
Previous updates:
Update 8: Fixed conditionals. Fixed New Game+. Added option to remove the extra Ignis outfits. Enable it in title screen before loading a save that has those outfits permanently unlocked.
Update 7: Added the Half-Life Costume to the hidden option. I thought this was permanent through Steam. It's in the hidden outfits section and should be removed upon reload if you don't have access to it normally. Can't test this as I preordered. Doesn't matter too much, but thought it would be nice for those without it.
Update 6: Fixed missing Kingly Raiment (No jacket). Oops.
Update 5: Refactored script to use conditionals instead. Added a ton of comments for porters. Added a conditional option to also unlock extra outfits for Ignis that only 'work' in Insomnia. Ignis will be invisible outside. It gives you various version of the real Episode Ignis Crownsguard Casual. They will be named like accessories. Ask Squaresoft, not me. Remember to also change the values after activating them.
Update 4: Added option to load 'illegal' outfits. They will reset upon reload if disable (except Episode gear if you've cleared them). Removed outfits that turn you invisible.
Update 3: Alternate version if file #2 does not work.
Update 2: Fixed disable part. Oops.
Update 1: Removed some outfits just as I uploaded. Will re-add them in a minute.
it does not work for me.
1 I start the game
2 in the main menu, I open the table and I activate by checking "change character models" and "Noctis"
3 I load my save
4 In the game, I open the gear menu and I select the first outfit for Noctis.
But nothing. Same for Gladio, Ignis and Prompto
