how do u use cheat tables with steam?

im trying get cheat tables work or any table in general.
when i go to open up process,game not showing just steam open codes dont work is there way to point to game somehow?
so how do i use cheat engine with steam there not tutorial anywhere.
Theres tutorials for how do so with cracked copys but not steam?
