Easy peasy...
Run the game, run the downloaded trainer, choose your cheat, then push Number Pad 1 - 7 on your keyboard, and voila cheat activated...
If not activated, either you don't have the right version of the game or simply it's not your luck

hey i wondered i am not to good at racing games so i fail a lot at unlocking car parts, maybe you can make ann option that unlocks those locked vehicle sections like bumper e.t.c?
