There used to be a YouTube video to show you how to use this, but I don't feel like remaking it. What you have to do is select an item, change its properties, then send it to Chris or Sheva. If you just change it and don't move it, it won't save the changes. Max is just the maximum value you can set that stat to.

This was only tested for the Steam Gold Edition version, I don't have any other version to test it on. It's still working for me.
