Maybe because you're using a nearly 2 year old version of the program trying to run scripts made in a actually recent version.

I was troubled how to use some cheats from that table, and later I've figured out that I had to add the big indian 4 byte type.
Then, changing my inventory items ID worked fine. Only problem I have now is to add items in empty slots, like getting all 5 keys from Latria. I can only have one at time.

Something I have noticed that I did and none of you have... Is I have a couple of custom search parameters for -CE.
I have 2 byte Big Endian, and 4 byte Big Endian, and a Custom Type 3...

Now with these three custom parameters, I have found using them for emulation yields results within moments.

To use these, load up CE, hook it to a process, and right-click on the "Value Type" field and select "Define new custom type (Auto Assembler) "

About two years ago I did some extensive research on how to natively use Cheat Engine and make it work with all emulators.

This seemed to do the trick for 99.9% (Repeated of course..) of titles I have attempted to use with.

Sorry for a really large post, but I figured this might help someone out who was seeking some extra oomph on their CE skill repository :D

I've made a table with AOB scans for Soldier, Knight and Hunter (HP, MP and stamina control). It has a limitation: MP values are NOT to be upgraded. The AOB scans here are mainly tied to MP values and they should stay the same. I will attach the table. Study the script and extrapolate to other classes if you wish. Unfortunately, this is all my ape skills allow me to do for now.

@Drinkie number of souls aquired is stored as a 4 byte value. I added the address in the table. The address should be "static" for everyone (no need for AOB scan script).

Right click on Value Type’s dropbox and click on “Define new custom type (Auto Assembler)


Since the endianness in RPCS3 is Big-Endian and Cheat Engine can only scan for Little-Endian values we will have to add a custom 4 bytes value type that is Big-Endian. I took the liberty of searching on Google for Big-Endian type codes for Cheat Engine.

Here is a collection of tables I've found. Tested only on US version. RPCS3 0.0.21.

One has itemswap with your 1st item in inventory, one lists your whole inventory, some support stats editing and tendency and stuff, some work partially, some don't at all, backup your save before doing anything!

You need to enable Big Endian Types (check this thread, see txts in attachment), probably enable "Edit > Settings > Scan Settings > ALL 3 MEM_PAGED, PRIVATE and MAPPED settings", and also "Edit > Settings > Extra > Query memory region subroutines" (I think the last one is if you will do manual item swap and address search and tables MAYBE might work without it, and it might be also needed to reboot with Driver signature disabled, depending on Win version). Remember that in PS3 you can dupe with Thomas!

Remember that you might mess something up, and it might affect the emulator or game itself, so to be sure, always quit CE and the emulator if you need to restore your saves and edit stuff again. In fact, you should do this after editing too.

You can itemswap without any table by doing this examples:

Enable the settings I stated above.

Open your inventory, mark the item you want to itemswap.

Note that the item ID list below is only for un-upgraded items 
(just give yourself more upgrade materials, or check some tables that have entire item IDs 
for item swapping and copy the ID from there, use Thomas dupe...).

I've added another list with all possible item upgrade combinations,
but it doesn't have armors at all for example.

Rarely this method fails, drop the item, take it, do a new scan.

Mark the item you wanna swap in your inventory.

Look for item ID of that item in the tables I've put below/attachments.

Put that marked item's ID into CE search, 
and search with 4 Byte Big Endian type that you added before.

Return to game, simply drop the item, nothing else.

In CE, you will see now some addresses have a value of -1, 
you can manually double click on them to add them for editing, 
you can also put -1 in Search and click Next Scan to list only those addresses 
to be sure you didn't miss any, then add them for editing.

Pick up your item.

In CE, you will see those addresses you prepared for editing now have the same ID as that item 
(they had random numbers in the step where you added them)
 - these are the addresses of where your item is in your inventory, 
so when dropped, it's random numbers, when picked up, it's that item ID.

If it's not, redo it all again, drop the item and take it before a NEW scan.

Edit those values to the NEW item you want to swap in, from the item ID table.

Check your inventory if the new item is there.

To be sure everything is okay with it, you should again drop the item and pick it up,
as the item's inventory slot or else you swapped from might "carry" to your new item.

PS: when editing those addresses, you can Right click > Browse this memory region, and the Quantity is 
usually the one of the values in the first row - USUALLY, NOT ALWAYS - 01 HEX
(or if you dropped a bigger quantity of one item, it's that number but in HEX, so it's easier to spot). 

Backup before editing this because if it's the wrong value, you might mess something else up, 
then restore and try again with with one of addresses just a bit before or after that have that HEX value.

PSS: you can double-click on that value, and you can enter the numbers in decimal (1 byte) instead of HEX!

Note: if your tab, for example Stones/Ore tab is empty, and you take and just manipulate 1 item in the 1st slot,
the address (should) persist even if you store/drop that item and take a new item,
so there (should) be no need to scan/re-scan every time,
the address you took earlier for editing should reflect what item is in that 1st slot,
which makes this method faster!

There is a NON-DESTRUCTIVE method to give any item you want, even multiples!
I am not 100% sure this method produces legit items, compare them with Wikis.
I am 99.9% sure they are due to nature of how this method works.

Do the same as in the above method, find the address, and so on, but you just need ANY one item.

Remember - a Weapon can only be made into a copy or another Weapon,
but not into another Grass - you can't mix Inventory Tab items.

This is maybe easier if there is only ONE item (in that Inventory Tab) you want to edit,
but it's not necessary.

Now, you've already found the item for editing via above method.
What's important here is to use Right click on it's address > Browse this memory region.

Drop and pick up the item a few times, and watch the values change.
You're looking for a RANGE of values that is changing.

Once you find the range, PICK UP THE ITEM, select that RANGE with the mouse,
Right click > Copy to clipboard.
Do not deselect that range, or you will have to select it again, and maybe make a mistake.

Now drop that item - a lot of FF values will appear.
With that range selected, Right click > Paste from clipboard.

If you re-check your inventory now, there should be your COPY of the item you dropped,
plus there is one on the ground.

In the main CE window, where address/value is, you can edit the Value to make a NEW item.
It's durability might be broken or too high, so just drop it and pick it up again (and repair it).
And now you can also pick up the item you've dropped before all of this.
*If durability is STILL wrong (above item's max), duplicate another item with less durability,
use that for item swapping, and just repair your new item. Or go out and kill mobs to lower the durability...

Now you have two items, the old one, and the new one, that is be anything you want,
but remember that you can't make a Weapon into a Grass item for example.

Hi everyone, I'm unable to find certain values, I can see the values that I want to change with the debug menu, but I can't find them when I search the values.I used to be able to get this to work but I had to reinstall windows and I couldn't get it to work again.

Let's say I want to change the FOV (43) here. I would just type 43 and it would show up. I remember that these values were Endian type, but even searching by ''all'' (I do have all endians) my CE can't find the value.

Remember that you might mess something up, and it might affect the emulator or game itself, so to be sure, always quit CE and the emulator if you need to restore your saves and edit stuff again. In fact, you should do this after editing too.

You can itemswap without any table by doing this examples:

Enable the settings I stated above.

Open your inventory, mark the item you want to itemswap.

Note that the item ID list below is only for un-upgraded items 
(just give yourself more upgrade materials, or check some tables that have entire item IDs 
for item swapping and copy the ID from there, use Thomas dupe...).

I've added another list with all possible item upgrade combinations,
but it doesn't have armors at all for example.

Rarely this method fails, drop the item, take it, do a new scan.

Mark the item you wanna swap in your inventory.

Look for item ID of that item in the tables I've put below/attachments.

Put that marked item's ID into CE search, 
and search with 4 Byte Big Endian type that you added before.

Return to game, simply drop the item, nothing else.

In CE, you will see now some addresses have a value of -1, 
you can manually double click on them to add them for editing, 
you can also put -1 in Search and click Next Scan to list only those addresses 
to be sure you didn't miss any, then add them for editing.

Pick up your item.

In CE, you will see those addresses you prepared for editing now have the same ID as that item 
(they had random numbers in the step where you added them)
 - these are the addresses of where your item is in your inventory, 
so when dropped, it's random numbers, when picked up, it's that item ID.

If it's not, redo it all again, drop the item and take it before a NEW scan.

Edit those values to the NEW item you want to swap in, from the item ID table.

Check your inventory if the new item is there.

To be sure everything is okay with it, you should again drop the item and pick it up,
as the item's inventory slot or else you swapped from might "carry" to your new item.

PS: when editing those addresses, you can Right click > Browse this memory region, and the Quantity is 
usually the one of the values in the first row - USUALLY, NOT ALWAYS - 01 HEX
(or if you dropped a bigger quantity of one item, it's that number but in HEX, so it's easier to spot). 

Backup before editing this because if it's the wrong value, you might mess something else up, 
then restore and try again with with one of addresses just a bit before or after that have that HEX value.

PSS: you can double-click on that value, and you can enter the numbers in decimal (1 byte) instead of HEX!

Note: if your tab, for example Stones/Ore tab is empty, and you take and just manipulate 1 item in the 1st slot,
the address (should) persist even if you store/drop that item and take a new item,
so there (should) be no need to scan/re-scan every time,
the address you took earlier for editing should reflect what item is in that 1st slot,
which makes this method faster!

There is a NON-DESTRUCTIVE method to give any item you want, even multiples!
I am not 100% sure this method produces legit items, compare them with Wikis.
I am 99.9% sure they are due to nature of how this method works.

Do the same as in the above method, find the address, and so on, but you just need ANY one item.

Remember - a Weapon can only be made into a copy or another Weapon,
but not into another Grass - you can't mix Inventory Tab items.

This is maybe easier if there is only ONE item (in that Inventory Tab) you want to edit,
but it's not necessary.

Now, you've already found the item for editing via above method.
What's important here is to use Right click on it's address > Browse this memory region.

Drop and pick up the item a few times, and watch the values change.
You're looking for a RANGE of values that is changing.

Once you find the range, PICK UP THE ITEM, select that RANGE with the mouse,
Right click > Copy to clipboard.
Do not deselect that range, or you will have to select it again, and maybe make a mistake.

Now drop that item - a lot of FF values will appear.
With that range selected, Right click > Paste from clipboard.

If you re-check your inventory now, there should be your COPY of the item you dropped,
plus there is one on the ground.

In the main CE window, where address/value is, you can edit the Value to make a NEW item.
It's durability might be broken or too high, so just drop it and pick it up again (and repair it).
And now you can also pick up the item you've dropped before all of this.

Now you have two items, the old one, and the new one, that is be anything you want,
but remember that you can't make a Weapon into a Grass item for example.
