Set all to 0, freeze, hover all companions so they all get reset.
=== Step 4 - unfreeze Step 3, then addxp to levelup to next tier (I did "addxp 181" and it seems to work well enough) with in-game console from TidesLoader mod.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 as many times as you want to levelup stats/effort/edge/skills/abilities until you're satisfied. Once you're done, unfreeze all previously frozen options and play normally. I checked with a save-reload and changes are permanent for PC and companions.
I'm not sure if we can add new skills/abilities like that, but we can levelup previously acquired skills/abilities because of the "progressTracker" option (i.e. when it's 1 it's available, when it's 0 it's spent, that's why we freeze them to 1). It's very tedious because we can only increase stats and stuff by 1 or 2 so we gotta repeat a bunch of times to get a decent strong companion. There's a trick though because of edge/maxeffort, you can basically add just edge and max effort to get free max effort on all actions so you don't spend any stat pool points so you don't need a whole lotta stats pool.
The TidesLoader with cheat module allows to modify the PC permanently only, so the method above is mostly for companions. Let me know if it works.
Oh yeah, I forgot. When you hover a companion with the mouse cursor to select it for editing in CE, then alt-tab out of the game, the game is still active and CE jumps each time you move the mouse because the cursor hovers a different character as you do that. To prevent that, hover the companion you want to edit then keep the cursor over that companion, press escape to get the game menu, then alt-tab out of the game.
- edit - OK, I tried addxp 9999 and it works so it's a bit less tedious to do, about 1 hour instead of 4, and I still had a few more abilities and skills to choose as I was leveling up the PC and companions. This means we can add more skills/abilities for each levelup run, reset to 0, levelup add more skills/abilities, repeat until we get bored.
Another thing, Im trying to update the TidesLoader mod myself, since the author appears to have abandoned it ...
I used de Red Gate Reflector (trial version) to decompile the DLL (Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll), opened the solution with visual basic, but when I try to build it again, it shows more than 2000 errors, even if I didnt change nothing.
Someone who knows what he is doing could help me with this?

Just FYI, the v1005 table still works (for the most part) with v1.10 of the game.
The base address scan init grabs the right value and you can use most, if not all, of the important cheats under that header (xp edits, stat & edge max, skills max, etc.)
As far as the more specific cheats like FoW clearing and InGameHUD, I haven't tested those with the new version of the game. YMMV.
Just wanted to get the word out there in case anyone cared.
Also, I have the fearlessrevolution trainer for this game, and their stat changes are permanent. They also have an option that let's you add an item to your inventory (you just need the item list, which is linked on their forum). So it seems like theirs is working more like console commands I suppose.
Nah, but the latest version can be used to edit abilities in somewhat unrefined way. There are 4 entries specifying tier in the table; as you enter progression screen on tier 3 in game, reset the tier to 1 in all entries on the table, before clicking confirm ability selection in level up screen. This way you are back at tier one but the ability level up will still activate when you get to tier 2.
This is super outdated but the game just went on sale for like $12 with the 1.1.0 update on GoG and all I want to do is cheat at this wonderful game about hard choices and consequences...
Despite having dialogue that all reads like exposition instead of conversation.
Is there any way to add skills and abilities? This table doesn't work for me at all with the GOG version, and the tier options divineshadow mentioned in his post only show huge random numbers for me. And they seem to get stuck on the second character or so.
There's a Tidesloader mod available that enables console commands. But those aren't very useful and mainly work on the main character. While none of the stuff about adding or upgrading skills and abilities seems to work either.
Modifying the stats is easy but the only way to add skills or abilities seems to be through the level up screen. So you'd need to reset the sub and main tiers to be able to level up again. And make it so the different options available for leveling up don't become locked. I've just tested it again and found those 2 values, but upon lowering them all the options available on level up are locked, so now I'm all out of options.
The console commands have an option for unlocking those advancement options, but as mentioned it only works for the main character. Is there any way to make it work for everyone else? Is there maybe a way to copy the function of those console commands or read out what exactly it's doing? I'm still a complete beginner at using cheat engine so any input would be appreciated.
edit: Just did some more testing and it doesn't seem like there's any decent way of doing this. Even if you can reduce the tier to level up again, you can lock yourself out of progressing if you have no more abilities available for leveling up. And leveling up again adds duplicates of abilities. So this game is an absolute mess and I guess it's time to give up.
The only way I see now to properly add and adjust abilities and skills without creating a mess might be by editing the save. But there's no save editor, same as there's generally barely any info on this game to be found online. And the save file is encrypted, so I wouldn't know what to do with it.
Otherwise if it was possible to expand the functionality of the console commands that might be the best option. Or just getting the options for adding and adjusting skills to work. But no one's working on that anymore so I guess that's it. This game is as dead as it can be anyway.
edit 2: I've tried out again what I've seen someone post in the other thread for this game, searching for the amount of points spent on the level up screen and by setting the number to 0 you can select more skills. But now the next problem has shown up, namely the game replaces the nano class' 2 inherent abilities with those I've selected. It's as if the total amount of tier 1 skills you could have is limited to what you could get normally. Though you can add Scan Thoughts through the console without problems, increasing the total number to 6. But there seems to be no way to get past that limitation otherwise. Those skills show up again on each level up and even if you select them every time, they won't get added. And this issue shows up in the same manner with all the classes. As the Jack class only has 1 inherent skill it can only have 3 tier 1 skills in total.
Leveling up all the way to Tier 6, which is the cap, the nano class ends up with 17 abilities if you select all available on each level up. 11 more skills are available but can't be added because of this weird limitation. Also interesting, leveling up removed 2 Tier 1 skills, probably to replace them with those in other tiers.
After leveling up the normal way, without any cheating, 17 seems to be the max amount of skills or perks the game allows for the nano class. So there seems to be a hard coded limitation and I see no way to overcome it. But again Scan Thoughts can be added through the console even after having unlocked the max amount of skills. So it obviously is possible to overcome the limit. Maybe it works because the skill added by the command is different from the one you can choose on level up and as such doesn't count towards the limit. But with that I'm all out of ideas.
edit 3: Did some more digging and it seems that this limit is only about how many skills you can add per level up. Reducing the level and leveling up again allows you to select more abilities that will stick. But now I can't find any pointers in this game and the addresses usually change after reloading a save. So it seems like my only option right now might be to level up to max level and unlock all skills from the start, then play through the game that way, since I'd have to level up several times just to find the addresses.
edit 4: I've tried the last thing I mentioned, leveling up the characters in one go at the beginning of the game and it seemed to work out. Until I realized that on each level up a few HP get added, which then adds up to huge numbers if you keep releveling. Changing the HP values is pointless as the changes don't stick. So I've tried to see what accesses their addresses and to replace the code with NOP code. But that only works for as long as that NOP code is active. If you disable it the values go up again, maybe even higher than they would normally.
So I guess that's it and the only way to avoid messing up all the stats is to level up normally, pick the few skills that the game lets you normally and adjust the attributes be searching for points spent, as that's the only thing that you can do without having to relevel. Or for the main character you can do a bit more thanks to the console commands, so you can at least add Edge and skills and level up abilities as well. But I don't like only being able to choose a few of all the abilities available, so I guess it comes down to whether you want to accept the bloated HP values, or not being able to adjust anything but the attributes for everyone but the main character.
