Final Fantasy XIII-2 Hardmode script

Post by STN »

HUGE HUGE thanks to Shinkansen and his Final Fantasy XIII-2 V1000 script to make this even possible.

this hack/mod sets all monster's atb to max, attack to 3000, magic 2500.

watch out if monsters cast regen thats when things get crazy.
watch out for the turtle...wink wink

if this is still too easy or hard just edit script and change the atk values to atk*100

im still learning coding, i wanna evently set the values so they find base and multiply them by a fixed number but i havent found that yet.

EDIT: removed some useless codes that run.
if someone wants to spice this and correct some things i would be very greatful.

Success! (I hope)

It took a few days because I had to find all new addresses and research/debug the function I needed to inject into, but it seems I've managed to create a script that properly multiplies enemy stat values.

Features:

-Enemy HP increased to 400% of default
-Enemy ATK/MAG increased to 200% of default
-Health bars work perectly
-Buffs *should* work perfectly
-Multiplier can be adjusted even higher for an insane challenge

Notes:

I fixed an early problem where enemy buffs/debuffs would work off a different base value, but there could be other contingencies which cause weird behavior/improperly multiplied stats so I would appreciate all the help testing I can get. (Shinkansen's table can be used for basic debugging)

I did experience one random crash while re-loading after the first Gogmagog fight, but I also had Shikansen's table in use for debugging at the time and I haven't been able to replicate the crash with my script alone so I'm fairly certain it is stable.

Also, if someone comes up with a complete listing of all monster id values it should be possible to tweak my script for individual enemies as well (i.e. making specific enemies harder, or fixing the superbosses if their stats become too ridiculous with the script enabled)

An interesting fact that I discovered while testing: With the same attack value, player characters will always deal twice as much damage as enemy characters. (At 28 ATK enemies were doing 24-30 damage and my characters were doing 50-60 and at 1 ATK enemies will always hit for 1 damage and PCs will hit for 2)
