Out of interest is this the same or different bypass that is provided in the arsenal unlocker mod on nexus? Sabre are apparently releasing a hotfix soon to address criticisms for this patch, hopefully mods font break again and bypass still works.

Probably (I mean, as far as I know, only cfemen and I bothered with patching SM2 exe), but since I know the author of this mod (not personaly, via discord) and I'm mentioned in credits - I have no problems with that. Regarding your second statement, I think modders already get used to compare their files against new one every patch. All those .sso files can be desirialized, edited and serealized back if needed.
Also I hope devs won't nerf insane difficulty, I mean, hardest difficulty shuld be hard, what they've done to ruthless difficulty is beyond annoying.

Yeah I agree, it should be so you only scraped a win! I've managed 3 ops on lethal so far, it is a lot of fun being so overwhelmed and pretty awesome fighter multiple lictors but there are a few frustrating things like doge rolling seemingly nerfed and projectile spam is a bit to heavy for me

do you guys have an idea how to edit the color palettes to allow any color in the customizer? just curious if it can be done through PAK editing; my searching through some files didn't turn up anything but I didn't look too deeply.

You might have better chances asking in modding discord about this. Or if you feel fancy, you might check some "conversion" mods and compare against original files via zipcmp (linux) for example.

think i actually found it in ssl\body\customization\heraldry_progression\heraldry_items_packs_library.sso

gonna test it now.

EDIT - more complicated than i thought, i'll follow up on those suggestions

EDIT2 - it's in armor_color_library. each color is defined in there. you unlock the colors through other avenues, but the color definitions themselves are in armor_color_library. what i'm curious about now is, if you add the color information that's tertiary-only (such as Balthasar Gold) to the primary and/or secondary shader layers, if they'll be readable by others. my sense is that the colors are defined here but referenced by name rather than color information, so if you reference, say, Balthasar Gold as a primary but your squadmates don't have that in their primaryShaderLayers then they won't read anything and there'll be some kind of glitching. will have to test.

EDIT3 - adding Balthasar Gold to the primaryShaderLayers definitions didn't change anything on my end. still not sure how it works. did get to look at Season 2 (Death Angels) and Season 3 (Raven Guard) expansion splash screens but you need the unavailable DLCs to unlock them and decided not to tinker with that further.

Modding discord says current mod methods still work (not home atm so cant test) so I guess all we needed is an updated exe, hopefully klerik can kindly help us.

It's likely that'll you'll only be able to connect with others on 4.0 (not 4.1) FYI. e.g. If you're someone that uses a FoV mod you won't be able to play with friends if they're on the latest.
