Also looking for a solution to this. I'm trying to modify my stats and while Yggdrasil's Dews work as they should, the Meal of Comfort does not!

Not anymore they don't
Saving & reloading will reset the quantity to the number that was rightfully earned.
EDIT: travelling to a different Realm and playing for a while to create a new set of checkpoints before making a NEW save (as opposed to overwriting an existing one) solved the problem for me.

On which game version you are? Are you using fitgirl version? For me none of the hashes are working!
