Oh.. come on now.. didn't you know? CH are always the first ones to release trainers. Anything else is a lie. I'm sure they had their trainer done even before preload started. They are just taking their time testing options out and making sure there are no issues /sarcasm.

I didn't have a good reason for using CH, tbh. This was 4 or 5 years ago when they ran a promo for a "Cheap" lifetime sub, and while drunk I decided to go for it. Clearly didn't work well for me today, lmao.

Basically, yes. They left the pdb file in the release version so you can view the debug symbols in Cheat Engine. However, they will most likely be removed in a future patch as they usually are when left in big "AAA" games.
They didn't just leave in the debug symbols.. they pushed a Gold (_g = gold; _p = platinum; etc.) debug build from Aug-24 Of course, once it finished downloading, I instantly got an update notification. Luckily, you gotta confirm updates on EGS, it doesn't auto do it. So.. 26GB later, the pdb was gone and Sep-24 exe replaced the Aug-24 one I had a 185GB folder to begin with.
Infinite health doesn't work properly, if you have low health, and enemies attack you, you die and you can't do anything else, the game stuck with kratos on the floor dead. I'm playing with give me god of war difficulty and maybe it's related to the damage taken with higher difficulty ?

probably not the right place to ask, although this could be implemented in the trainer, but has anyone stumbled across an fov mod yet? I have very basic CE knowledge and managed to find the float value that controls the fov but wasn't able to debug since it would crash the game.
