New and been reading through the most recent information on the thread, just wanted to ask for a bit of clarification to make sure I'm understanding the thread correctly:

The new update has bricked most of the EAC bypasses except for the paid one on cfemens Discord so the only free method is to revert back to the Sept. 11 patch using the Steam console and use the original methods? Will the tutorial from Hoof on the 27th of September still work right now?
If I go back to the up-to-date version of the game to play multiplayer with EAC on will the changes I've made using the old version be reflected?
I've read that modifying .pak files- tutorial from ExiledSin's post on September 25th- to change the different XP and rewards values is faster than using CE to change the save's values, but are those changes permanent (carried into the up-to-date version of the game if I want to play multiplayer again)? I've heard varying accounts saying that they either do or don't.
Pretty much everything is bricked. Pak editing didn't work for me for whatever reason, makes my game crash. So I've rolled back to previous update, will level the remainders to 25 and see how that goes after re downloading the patch.

Edit: tbh, this is all getting way too long, until a workaround comes along I'm just gonna stick to PvPing and leave PvE alone.
I downloaded the old version using the Steam console with the tutorial from Hoof and got the bypass working with that. Using CE to edit values has been working completely fine and I've even been matchmaking into games with other people somehow. I've completely maxed out all of the weapons and have almost completed leveling all of the classes to 25. It seems to be saving as well as I've crashed twice and loaded back in to find everything still where I left off at.

Maybe that means .pak editing will work with the old build? I'm still unsure as to whether .pak editing will save the progress in general, though.
I'll give it another go as mos tliekly I did something wrong, however whenever I tried to load into a game it just didn't work. It would load, say reconnecting, reset the loading bar and go on forever lol.

Edit: No need to use the older patch, Klerik is an absolute fucking legend and his bypass works.
Also I've come ot learn that the infinite loadingf screen was from the 16x speed set on fearlessrevolution

The game is just crashing with the new Klerik posted fix.
Have you also downloaded the bypass from the first page?
Of course I followed the instructions as clearly as they are written, it's crashing with some error about failing to initialise the graphics system, so i updated the drivers and it still persists.
Rename cache files if youre using a modded .pak

It crashes without a modded pak, following the instructions and renaming or moving the cache does not change the result even when attempting it with a modded pak.
I'm using steam and my exe doesnt include "retail" like mentioned in this exe.

What should they be renamed to, anything? My game ends up stuck on the final bit of 'loading game logic' with my modified pak file and stops responding.

you're looking at the incorrect EXE file. look in steamapps\common\Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\bin\pc

Klerik's modified retail.EXE together with the EAC bypass on p1 allow CE to function on my machine. i haven't modifed any PAKs.

<for PvP level changing>

don't change your level, change your XP (and if you've changed your level then unchange it :( ). find your Eternal War Veterancy XP (note this is not the class XP), take whatever your XP is and add another 240000 or so. then play another match. it should walk you through the proper levels and unlocks.
i confirmed this morning that this is the way to do it.

search for group <4:level w:4 4:XP>,
...where <level> = (actual_level - 1)*8 + 1
...and <XP> = (actual xp * 8) + 1

i guess i should note that i searched for my XP, got 7 hits, then browsed the memory regions looking for my level and found one that would match that group search since my <level> value was 8 bytes prior to the <XP> value. so, i didnt use that Group search syntax but it should work and if it doesn't, feel free to search for <XP> and browse the regions like i did, you should find it. there's only one instance.

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR LEVEL. change your XP to a VERY high number. levels 20+ require 20k+ XP per level so just... explode this thing. something like <(25 - current_level) * 200000 + 1>.

you don't want to change your level since unlocking weapons is done by earning the level via XP. if you just give yourself the level, the game won't unlock it for you. if you give yourself XP, it looks to the game as if you've just earned a ton of XP in your previous match and it'll walk you through the levels and unlock the gear for you.

others reported they had trouble getting into a game after adjusting their XP and had to incrementally go to (max_xp_for_level - 1) and play consecutive matches to bump themselves over. i believe that will work but i did not have to do it that way: i was able to just add a ton of XP and level up multiple times following a match. my mistake was that i didn't add enough the first time (i underestimated how much XP was required to get to 25) so i had to do it twice.

finally, if you're level 25 and want to adjust that down, then you should search for group <4:193 w:4 4:1> and should find your level and XP if you want to revert to a lower level after unlocking stuff. if you're level 25 in Operations classes then you'll get multiple hits w this method so hopefully the PvP memory region is separate enough from the Operations classes region (who i know are grouped together) that you can tell what's what.

Forgive me but, are you doing this in CE or is this in a .PAK file? Where do i even find how much XP i have?? :|

Oh wow, thank you, so yeah there is another folder where that retail exe is located on its own, replacing that has made it work.
the instructions lack that one step, i assumed it was from the epic version or disc version.
cheers man.

If I edit a pak file, it runs ok as long as the total number of characteres stays the same, if I add o remove a charactere, the game crashes at lauch. Anyone know a way to overcome this limitation? Thanks

for my exemple im level 8 with 795xp -> my search is <4:57 w:4 4:6361> but i found nothing. the xp is actualy xp or all xp accumulated by all level ?

this is for PvP only. the group syntax was a guess, try it with just searching for 6361 as a 4byte value, then browse the memory region for the hits if you have less than 10. look for a few preceding bytes at 00, with your level 8 value (57) as a hex (39). then change that 6361 to 3,400,001, play a match, you should be good.

this is in CE. go to PvP, cancel Matchmaking if you have to, go to the Armoury. it'll be on the right-hand column at the top, your overall level and XP; it's above the roman numerals of your class level.
