Appreciate this brother. What is up with modding community regarding your previous post?? Not that I know much about it other than using FOV mod..Klerik wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 5:15 pmAight, here is the deal, step by step:
1) download archive [Link] (password: frf)
2) extract it to %gameroot%\client_pc\root\bin\pc (should replace file, named "Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 - Retail.exe"
3) download "start_protected_game.exe" from the 1st post of this thread
4) place it in %gameroot% folder.
What does my provided exe do?
Removes .cache file check (that means you can remove *.cache file if you want to modify .pak file, like it was on previous patch). Remove EAC check (that means, when you're using bypass, which you can find in 1st post of this thread, game won't force you offline). Sidenote: you can't launch it with EAC on, since I didn't care enought to do something about it.
P.S. %gameroot% means the place, where your game installed, i.e. "I:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Space Marine 2\" is %gameroot% for me.
P.P.S. Hope it helps and will spare me from futher questions.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
Any idea how to use chest engine to skip to lv 25 veterancy and unlock weapons in eternal war? Doesn't seem to be as simple as doing it for operations. Editing xp gets me to the next level but not beyond. Should I be finding be value of my level and changing that rather than xp? For PvE I changed my xp to something very high which skipped me to lvl 25
Edit: finding and changing my level doesn't do anything, after playing a match I gain xp as normal and more to the next level up

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
Anyone know if there are usable offsets for the addresses related to class victories for unlocking armor? I've done the brute force process with my Bulwark, but I really don't want to have to repeat that for 5 more classes...
The addresses provided around page 17 didn't give me any usable offsets as someone else had mentioned.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
For modified .pak file you can just move the pak.cache to a different folder as that is what I did then I started editing the .pak file with the bypass and works with no issues and as what they have stated if you will put back the modified .pak file set the compression to store.p1tbull wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 4:17 pmThanks Klerik for sharing your modded exe, I've also replaced the old start_protected_game exe bypass. I guess it should work. However I have a question now, do I need to rename "default_other.pak.cache" to anything to make my modified pak work? Thanks in advance
Edit 1: I'm doing something wrong as I'm getting the Offline Pop-up with error code: AVF. So what I did is to replace the modded exe from Klerik's link, also replaced the original start_protected_game exe with the one from the link in the first Post. Then I changed some of the damage values of the weapons I want to use ingame, keeping it's size and all, then it loaded fine without eac but getting the pop up... did I miss a step?

Regarding my previous message, I just didn't like how st1cky spoke to others, I can let go anything, but not arrogance and disrespect towards others. He can be 200% right, but not with that attitude.
Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
so i've do this with the bypass and the new retail.exe in the bin folderKlerik wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 5:15 pmAight, here is the deal, step by step:

I'm freezing and crashing during the loading after you launch the game into main menu
Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
using the file klerik provided (thank you Klerik) and the eac bypass
is modding pak files the same as before the update?
or do we still have to do the complicated "making sure the file sizes are the same" thing?

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
before the update, make sure you edit and use the newest default_other.pak or the game will freeze
Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
it's brute force all the way, unfortunately. the good news is that the offsets are all close to each other in memory and so if you can find one, you should be able to guess which "hit" on the next class is the correct one.ipipip wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:58 pmAnyone know if there are usable offsets for the addresses related to class victories for unlocking armor? I HAVEN'T DONE THIS, but based on how XP and level works in Operations I think this should work:xsabinx wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 8:59 pmAny idea how to use chest engine to skip to lv 25 veterancy and unlock weapons in eternal war? don't change your level, change your XP (and if you've changed your level then unchange it ). find your Eternal War Veterancy XP (note this is not the class XP), take whatever your XP is and add another 240000 or so. then play another match. it should walk you through the proper levels and unlocks.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
anyone know a way to find perk points if you only have 0 and cant get/use anymore? meaning no perks selected, all weps maxed but have 0 skill points
Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
I tried but didn't work. Once i found my xp and changed it to something very high I couldn't join a match, I had to change it back to a normal value. I tried to edit it just as a match ended but it didn't work. I can only seem to change my xp to a value that is under the threshold the next level. I played a few matches and edited by xp to just below the threshold of the next level so I could level up after every match. Best I could managedoobiedoo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 12:14 pmit's brute force all the way, unfortunately. the good news is that the offsets are all close to each other in memory and so if you can find one, you should be able to guess which "hit" on the next class is the correct one.ipipip wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:58 pmAnyone know if there are usable offsets for the addresses related to class victories for unlocking armor? don't change your level, change your XP (and if you've changed your level then unchange it ). find your Eternal War XP (will probably take playing a match as you'll need the post-match results to find your actual XP as otherwise it's just a bar on the selection screen; note this is not the class XP), take whatever your XP is and add another 240000 or so. then play another match. it should walk you through the proper levels and unlocks.
Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
i think you can unlock Mastery with a weapon to get a Perk Point, right? so unlock some weapons, get 1+ Perk Points, then spend/reset while searching for <(currentPerkPoints * 8) + 1>. i think i just bought all the Masteries though and got Perk Points that way.
Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
The game is just crashing with the new Klerik posted fix.

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Trainer
Of course I followed the instructions as clearly as they are written, it's crashing with some error about failing to initialise the graphics system, so i updated the drivers and it still persists.Graveborne wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 4:39 amHave you also downloaded the bypass from the first page?
