Warning about Scammers!

Post by cfemen »

Hi all,

I have seen several times where people have supported scammers, they steal other people's work, and monetize from it.

Why this is important:
This hurts the original authors a lot. The people who put lots of time into making FREE tables with awesome features which ultimately causes some table-makers to give up both, making, and sharing tables for people to enjoy.

How can you help?
Often it's pretty easy to detect, here is an example:
Image
the user by the name "ThisNerd" is sharing stuff from, in this case, Leunsel

Example 2:

You can clearly see that he is not even able to remove the original-author info, but even if he does ... it's often easy to detect e.g.: search here on Fearless for the game and compare the code.
So you can easily detect the scammers.

The scammer will probably deny all the facts, start banning users & deleting their messages, and then try to calm their community down by claiming that this was a hater:

So please don't give people like him a platform, help in general to report scammers like him and don't support them with any money.

I urge everyone in the community to be vigilant, and careful about who you support and trust; always verify the source of the work you are purchasing, or downloading. Be safe out there!

I exposed him in his Discord and instead of admitting to the case, he instead purged all messages in question. (I did not really make a backup of these messages so there is nothing I can showcase here, but cfe knows what I'm talking about.)

I already took down the video where he "showcased" his stolen work but made a comment prior to that since I felt we could solve this on a friendly basis.

The fact that this guy got a good amount of people in his server that paid actual money for all the stolen content in there is bad and most of them aren't even aware of it.

I can't tell for sure if the files in the Discord regarding Palworld NetCrack XBOX are actually the files gir489 worked on but let's just assume they are; Then this guy stole from at least 3 people which are known to me then, them being cfemen, gir489 and myself.

If I can trust the words in his server (which I really shouldn't), then this guy already got 2 Copyright-Strikes on his YouTube Account. One of them filed by me. If you ever find something you made on his channel, it's quite likely that given you file a copyright claim, his channel would be terminated. His Discord is, as it seems, not allowing invites anymore, so he is certainly aware of the "danger" he put himself in.

Spread awareness, make sure people are safe out there and please, for the love of god, make sure you support the right people! Scum like that doesn't deserve a single cent!

I asked a moderator about why the Discord was locked.
It was to reduce the repeated abuse of temporary accounts that were also calling their voluntary moderators vulgar names.

It just proves my point:

You can't go out there and be a cunt towards everyone but yourself and expect people to love you.
I tried to solve this situation somewhat friendly but he just dodged the conversation, to this day did not respond to my DM and deleted everything that proved that he was obviously ripping his customers off and stealing content of third parties. I'm not the kind of guy to support "hate" towards anyone really, but if you are this retarded, man, then you can burn in hell, you deserve to go through all that.
He had the chance to get away unharmed, he did not accept the offer.

In my opinion, there is only one effective way to combat these scammers. You need to teach cheating to those who pay scammers money for the content they steal from you. You need to teach users so that they can hack games themselves. You need to give users a fishing rod, not a ready-made fish.

This is messed up.

A few years ago there was someone who was impersonating me pretending to be STN and selling my forza horizon 4 cheat table but it was just a kid and wasn’t an organised operation like this guy is running so I didn’t care much.

What this loser doesn’t realise is his actions have consequences and when you do something like he’s doing, it affects the whole community where someone else who really cares about his work is going to think twice about sharing something because someone might impersonate and sell it as his. This has already happened and it will continue to happen where people just stop sharing or only share behind paywalls or with strings attached.
