IIRC correctly, there is a limit on how many boxes can be on the map, along with limits on how much loot you can collect. I think it was something like a 1,000 for the loot, and about 120ish for the map before the boxes stop spawning? Still, this game is descended from 4.1 and 5, where the cheats for loot counts worked fine. For those, I was able to set over 9,001 boxes.

Aside from that, there is a loot table system for the game. The difficulty and stage level determines the range of loot you can acquire, with floors and caps on their potential level.

How to use this cheat table?

1. Install Cheat Engine
2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
4. Keep the list.
5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

I appreciate your work, I tried myself to look for the weapon/armor box drop count during a mission, it's similar to EDF5, there's weapon, armor and total (Combination of both).

I assume maybe there's something I'm missing because sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't when changing your drop counts and completing/failing a mission to get drops.

Maybe there are limitations?

not sure, first time i tried I just set only weapon crates and total to 1k and got a lot of items after the match, would have to mess around more with it, but haven't really gotten it to work consistently, i assume maybe there is a check somewhere.

I actually messed around with this myself, editing armor and weapon crates, and their totals. but it appears that the game will not allow a total box collection greater than 1024 as a hard cap. ( armor + weapons total)

I think what is going on with the weapon crate count, is that the RNG rolls duplicate weapons. This is good if the roll lands on a weapon that has room for upgrades, but if filled on upgrades, the roll is wasted. In effect, something like 1,024 weapon crates gets filtered into 50ish, depending on your luck and weapon roster. As you max out weapons, the filter gets stronger.

EDIT: Set my box count to 1024. Only got eightish guns. Interestingly, though, is that some stars are already maxed. Would I get better results if I set my box count lower, to something like 700? Nope.

My RNG hypothesis is wrong.

The old tables used a script, I'm not smart enough to reverse engineer it but it should be a good starting point.
