no problem, if the old method works for you the new should not make you any issues unless you haven't properly enabled all new rewrite rules or you haven't removed old rewrite rules for example. but hey, your choice and time, can use old method fine.

Why not use this cheat?

unlock all Mascots temporarily v3 = unlocks all Mascots while using this Cheat, the selected Mascot will stay without Cheat but will get locked again if you change it and don't use the Cheat.
