Backpack Battles- Game always loads most recent save

I tried to get a bit of free rerolling going, but even when I replace the files of the game itself (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Backpack Battles) and the appdata (C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Backpack Battles)
the game simply overwrites or ignores them (idk). So, anyone knows why that might be?

I already disabled cloudsaves in the steam menu for that game, so idk.
