Since people have posted a table with a party editor, I'm attaching mine that lets you properly add them to your party (including the 2 NPCs)

I would recommend backing up saves before unlocking all nodes and fate episodes and whatnot, just in case they change something.

I think the only way would be to force the other characters as "NPC". It could work that way. I believe that as an NPC it might be possible to add as many characters as you want. The "party" option should be limited to 4 (always)
