New to using the Cheat Engine, so what am I missing?

I mean I've found the location, why would it keep going back?

There are built-in cheats, but the .lua file is already compiled so its worthless to make changes on it.
I looked into hooking Lua but for now I can't find any Lua State or Methods( gettop and so on )
They are using Lua 5.3 but my 5.3 AOB's are not fitting so they customized /inlined probably a lot ...

So... if I go in and do a search for money first, I can find that (eventually). But then if I try to cheat for stats making a custom merc, I can't find any values.

With this Mod you can Enable the Cheat Menu and Developer Mode.

As a Bonus you get a Free Cam Option.

To install this Mod extract the .rar inside "AppData\Roaming\Jagged Alliance 3\Mods"

if the Folder does not exist you need to create it.

Activate it in the Mod Manager and under Options you will find Mod-Options.

You will find the Cheats inside the ESC-Menu Ingame.

What's the difference between Cheats and Developer mode?

Normaly some Editors are Hidden in the Game.
With Developer mode these should be visible later when the Offical Mod Editor comes out.

Depends on what the devs will do.

You get also access to the Console by pressing Enter and the Dev Menu Bar by pressing ` or ö for Germany

Nice work!

I already found the Lua State (JA3.exe+F1B168) and was starting to inject my own Lua, but I guess I can stop now coz your Mod is already enabling the Cheat mode!

for compiled lua files, the options --cripple-lua-files --dont-compress-files (for packaging) and --fix-lua-files (for unpacking) are needed
Changed the number of skill points from 550 to 850.
