So I am currently playing MMBN5Protoman and when I increase the amount of zenny and bugfrags that I have, the cheatengine changes it to 0 and stays that way, so is there no way to increase Your zenny and bugfrags? I also tried with new game of MMBN5Colonel to see what would happen if i save the changes and tried to open up the game without cheatengine on and it stays at 0 forever, even when i get more zenny or more bug fragments it stays at 0 forever. is there something that i'm missing?
You can recover by changing the value back to the number before it became 0, but if you forget to do this, please restore your save data from a backup.

It's do able, you need to instead change battle rewards to give you a ton of Zenny or bug frags and that should work correctly.dokhiemlam wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 9:20 pmThere is another way to get max Zenny and bug frag you know?MichizaneAsanuma wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 3:38 pmOkay. Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
Would it be possible to request the chip drops cheat that BN4 has for other games as well? It'd be nice to be able to play around with some V2 virus chips that usually come in the post-game in BN5, for instance.
Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
According to another poster, the cheat table I posted should work to let you use the patch card for zeny infinitely in 5. I haven't tested it myself though.MichizaneAsanuma wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 12:53 amOkay. There is a code that is obtained a drop internally.(The picture is what you were supposed to get.)Please download and try it.As a side note,Zeny is up to 16383.(Value:7FFF)Bug Flags is up to 9999(Value:E70F).BertBraumy wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 2:48 amWould it be possible to request the chip drops cheat that BN4 has for other games as well? Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
Any luck for BN4 subchip? I have the max amount of Unlocker and I can't collect the GMD because of that, the GMDs changes in every single playthrough after collecting it and the rewards the GMD gives in that location will remain the same as the previous playthrough if its not collected in the previous game.

Thanks so much for your extensive work regardless, this is really good stuff- regarding BN6 is there way to have the library data be completed without adding one of each chip? Or is that something that's exclusively tied to just having the chips in your inventory?wepon1984 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 8:10 amUpdate 11:Added Chip Droplist for MMBN 2 & 3. Previous Updates
Update 10: Fixed up some of the pointers for MMBN 5 & 6. Also added Battle Drop codes for both MMBN 5 & 6 and the corresponding Chip / Bug Frag / Zenny lists.
Update 9: Added some more stuff for Style address in MMBN3
Update 8: Added Crossover Points for MMBN5 & 6. Also added Beast Out Turns for MMBN6
Update 7: Added a bunch of codes for all MMBN games.
MMBN 1:
Steps Since Last Battle, set to 0 for very low chance of battle
Invincible in Battle
Custom Gauge
Busting Level
MMBN 2 & 3 & 5 & 6:
Sneak Run Duration
Steps Since Last Battle, set to 0 for very low chance of battle
Invincible in Battle
Custom Gauge
Busting Level
MMBN 4:
Invincible in Battle
Custom Gauge

Update 6: Added Subchips, BugFrags, Style, and P.A Notes code address for MMBN 2 & 3. Also added Navi Customizer Blocks for MMBN3.
Update 5: Updated Drop code for MMBN4. Now includes section for second possible drop, number of drops, and values for Bug Frags and Zenny's. Just make sure to freeze the values before battle ends.
Update 4: Added Chip List of MMBN6. Changes only work when you are NOT in any menus or battle. Saving any changes will also update the library.
Update 3: Added Chip List of MMBN5. Changes only work when you are NOT in any menus or battle. Saving any changes will also update the library.
Update 2:Added something for MMBN4. This game seems to have some very severe CRC checks so the best method I could find to add Chips is by modifying what chip drops at the end of battle.
This needs to be tested by other people as it seems like the Emulator the game runs on seems to always grab the same set of addresses for the game. Trying to find pointers for the address seems to return 0 results for me, so hopefully someone has better luck finding it. Otherwise if the address or the way the emulator works changes, the code will stop working.
Update 1:Added Chip List for MMBN 3.
To update library changes you will need to get a new Chip. A
Any changes to qty for chips not in your Library will cause the savefile to Break, so make sure to update the Library first
Here's some stuff for the Chip Library for MMBN1 & 2.
MMBN3 will take some time as the game keeps crashing and breaking when I play with the code.
Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
Starting with MMBN3 Capcom started implementing varies forms of anti-cheat to check to make sure that the game code hasn't been modified in any way, with MMBN3 is the easiest to get around and MMBN4 being the hardest.hkosyndrome wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 12:23 amThanks so much for your extensive work regardless, this is really good stuff- regarding BN6 is there way to have the library data be completed without adding one of each chip? With MMBN5 & 6 the game implements a form of check, possibly CRC?, to make sure anything that you should have is valid, so changing the library without having triggered the flag of having that chip will break the chip folder and library. This also makes it so you any changes you made to Subchips will not be valid until you have that subchip in your inventory

Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
Any idea which code might accidentally temper with the BMD contents in BN4? The BMD in Undernet 2 should have a SpeedMax NCP, but instead I got "0 Bugfrag" and the bugfrag I have got reduced to 0. I reset the game with no cheat engine on and even jacked out and in, the same thing still happens. I've used the Bugfrag 4000 battle reward code before if that helps.wepon1984 wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 1:24 amStarting with MMBN3 Capcom started implementing varies forms of anti-cheat to check to make sure that the game code hasn't been modified in any way, with MMBN3 is the easiest to get around and MMBN4 being the hardest.hkosyndrome wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 12:23 amThanks so much for your extensive work regardless, this is really good stuff- regarding BN6 is there way to have the library data be completed without adding one of each chip? Also, after collecting the BMD, the bugfrag I have, I believed isn't actually 0, cos when I collect another bugfrag, it still shows 0, also, in this state, it freezes the game when visiting the bugfrag merchant.

Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
For MMBN2, I spent a few hours entering random values for the Virus Busting Rewards, seeing what chips I get and recording them. Using this and old cheats for the GBA release, I was able to determine 4 things.
1. You can get a reward for any chip with any chip code, like getting GateSP A. It would add to your library, but would show up in your pack as GateSP G, as that is the first chip code you can get.
2. All rewards are grouped by 0x200 for each chip code. For example, Cannon A's value is 0x0001, Cannon B is 0x0201, Cannon C is 0x0400, etc. all the way to 0x3401 for * chip code.
3. The highest value you can get before you get broken chips is 0x010A (Sanctuary), plus 0x200 for each code group. If you go higher, you get a broken chip that may break your game.
4. The values for each chip is not in the same order as the chip ID. For example CustSwrd comes after Kunai3 in the ID, but for the cheat value, it is before.
Because of this, here is a list of all chips in the order of their cheat code value, only for Group A. If you want to get a different group, then add 0x200 for each letter after A you want. I have not personally tested every chip to verify, however based on my random spot testing, findings, and getting the chips that are PvP-only rewards, I am confident that this is accurate.

also i cant seem to get the soul weapons pointer working. i tried using a soul weapon furing the evil spirit minigame and it doesnt change anything with the pointer.
Rush Food: 80206F20
Keep in mind I did have some on hand already and was able to modify the amount. Not sure how it'd behave on a fresh save so be wary.
Re: [Request] Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection 1+2
