Dragon Quest Treasures [Switch, Yuzu] [+10]

Post by DrummerIX »

In case you are not aware, I'm a big Dragon Quest fan along with some other RPG series that rank up among my favorites.

Dragon Quest Treasures released on December 9, 2022. It can run in Yuzu. Making tables for emulators can sometimes be a little tough to do where it works all the time, but I think I have things working.

I am releasing this initial table here and if I have time to do future updates, they will be on my Patreon. I've only done a few tables for Yuzu, so please let me know if you run into issues using this as I'm learning on best practices and things for it.

Options[+10]:
  • Activate Trainer
  • Save Current Trainer Values
  • Load Current Trainer Values
  • Change Slot Config Description
  • Infinite HP
  • Current Gold
  • Mia/Erik Current HP
  • Monster 1 Current HP
  • Monster 2 Current HP
  • Monster 3 Current HP

Notes:
Get to point in Yuzu where you have loaded a save game or can move around in game.
Then press F1 to Activate and wait at least 20-30 seconds for things to get setup.
I had to write much code to set things up mainly because of the emulator and things.

How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

Any chances you can find the pointer or value address for "Chimaera Wings"? Having 99 of those would be pretty nice feature! :)

Edit 4 days later : I have been trying to manually find the pointer address for them, I searched for a 4bytes, 2 bytes and 1 byte for my current value of 2... then got the daily which put me to 4... and narrowed the values to about a hundred... i then used one and searched again for the value of 3... and all values were gone! so either they moved position or they were not stored as 4-2-1byte(s)... i heard some game has some weird "endian" storing system... but i know nothing about that... would be really nice to figure it out ;)

So if anyone has any tips or suggestion it would be greatly appreciated!

In case anyone ever comes here looking for an answer...

I was able to solve this easily when I figured out that cheat engine has a settings in the "scan settings" to scan mapped memory... which seems to be needed when scanning for some emulator games! :) I personally had no idea this was even a thing... and as soon as I toggled on that settings, it started working! :)
