+1, I'd love to see a trainer for the alpha. Wish I had the funds to spring for a 2nd alpha for a maker.

The method of save editing, which was the main method for cheating in Pathfinder before ToyBox was a thing, working in W40k RT too.
Navigate into
\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\WH 40000 RT\Saved Games
Open one of the saves (preferable manual one created right now) as an archive with 7-zip (WinRar probably works too)
Take out party.json and player.json somethere else
In player.json there is
TotalProfitFactor - your "disposable money" limit
CurrentProfitFactor - your "current disposable money".
Also, a bit higher you have
"Scrap":{"$id":"1623","m_Value":
Which is value of amount of scrap you have (which is ship repair resource)
Then you can also search for "FractionsReputation" (probably a typo) where you have
"Key":"Drusians","Value": - Saint Drusius cult rep
"Key":"Explorators","Value": - Explorator fleet of Ordo Mechanicus rep
"Key":"Kasballica","Value": - Mission Kasballica syndicate rep
"Key":"Pirates","Value": - Void Brotherhood rep
"money" value does virtually nothing, by the way, don't bother to change it, it's for Pathfinder.
The rest of the file is a bit more risky to edit in this file, but you can if you are sure about what you are doing.
And for party.json there is skill values and stuff like this is stored, the names are starting with "Warhammer" so you can edit them too, if you want, probably editing base values is safe bet althought I didn't tried to change this file.
After changing all what you need just put the edited files back into archive (with confirmation) and then load the file. No need to restart the game.

I've tried this and when i try and load the save it gets to about 6-8% and then returns to the main menu. Any idea what's wrong? have you managed to make this work yourself?Laxard wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 12:42 pmThe method of save editing, which was the main method for cheating in Pathfinder before ToyBox was a thing, working in W40k RT too.

Re: [REQUEST] Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader Alpha
It's worked for me. Unpack the .zks file with 7-zip, edit the json file as needed (best to use notepad++ for this with the JSON viewer plugin for ease of use), save the json file and then add all the unpacked files to a zip archive with the same name as the save file. Then, change the file type from .zip to .zks, and replace the existing file in your saved games folder with that one.azikielboi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 1:16 pmI've tried this and when i try and load the save it gets to about 6-8% and then returns to the main menu. Re: [REQUEST] Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader Alpha
If it's does it that early, it's likely that some other program blocks save from reading. Like, for example, if you openned it from within the archive, without closing the program properly so the game just can't access the file because it's already in exclusive use of other program. If even restarting the PC doesn't help, then you messed up the file.azikielboi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 1:16 pmI've tried this and when i try and load the save it gets to about 6-8% and then returns to the main menu. Re: [REQUEST] Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader Alpha
+1 as well.
I extracted the savegame and was looking at the party.json values, the starship upgrades are of interest to me since fighting Aeldari 5 or 6v1 is terribly unfair. I think it would be ok if upgrades were unlocked or usable.
