2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.

Then you should update the game to the latest version (23.2.0). Or use Table Update 4 to use it on old version.

It's strange; everything seems to be okay with Steam, as I'm also a user.What does CE look like after you open the CT file? I expected there to be a title panel, a signature panel, and a dark theme.

but where is update 5, i cant seem to find it, it only appears update 1 and 2, the rest doesn´t appear.
