I take an amount of material and it doesn't add. I always have the same amount as before I took it.
edit: actually it locks at 10. if I have an amount greater than 10 and activate it, it changes to 10.
Do you need more than 10? I can add a compare to allow you to be over 10 if you gain more.
in the materials yes, which are to raise the attributes on the table that are scattered around the world to accumulate more than 10. To make fireballs, etc., the maximum is 10. but the materials we use to buy the attributes are not are.

I don't know if I can explain
Hmm okay, I had originally tried to separate the materials & items but failed to do so without crashing.

Also noticed this yesterday. Scrap metal wasn't adding past 10pcs. Gathered some with cheat toggled off and when I activated unlimited materials with 30pcs in inventory it set and locked the amount back to 10pcs. So used Cheat engine to add 200 scrap to upgrade the crossbow. Finding values for a quick edit isn't too hard but wasn't able to find base and script it in without crashing/corrupting.
