Vr controller hotkeys?

I want to play some fast paced singleplayer vr games but my reflexes aren't that good.
So, I want to use cheat engine's speedhack feature to slow those games.
It works great! However, I can't seem to set a hotkey to toggle speedhack feature.
Cheat engine doesn't recognize any buttons on my quest 2 controllers.
Is there a workaround or something for this issue? All I want is a toggle key to use speedhack in vr that doesn't require me to take off the headset just to press a key on my computer's keyboard.
