Are there any cheats to feed a pet and get it instantly?
I have like 4 or 5 left but they are always spawning when I can't play

there's the "Critter Feed Time 0 + Scrooge Store Reset + Others (Also Affects Mail, Except SPAM)" which should allow you to feed the critter several time in the same minute, allowing you to unlock it right away, you just have to bring more food.

Hey, so how do updates work with CE? As we know we are getting the Tiana update this month. Does an update of CE need to come out in order to work with the current DDLV update? Is it okay to use the current CE we have now when the update arrives? Thanks!

It depends on what's broken and how quick it is for me to get to it. I will get to it ASAP, KSoDDV (sp?) helps me too where they can. Sometimes nothing breaks, somethings EVERYTHING breaks, sometimes they've obfuscated it and it can't be found. Hoping it's not too much of a PITA as I am not perfect with this. I have written down all the things I did to fix it the last time there was a major patch that broke everything, so hopefully I can do it quickly if it happens. I make no promises though, I have kids and a life so it gets hard sometimes to balance it all.

You can use the current CE until the update arrives with no issues as it's working

Will happily help out to the best of my abilities when the update drops on Wednesday of course I am expecting almost everything to break as it seems they are doing quite a lot of changes this time.

When I’m trying to decrypt my save file, I edited it and reinserted it only for the game to try to load up only to say initialization error #1 anyone know why?

The json file is REALLY sensitive and any small thing such as a missing " or a comma, can break it entirely. I would suggest you go back to a previous save (if you haven't made a backup before editing, you would need to remember exactly what you edited and perhaps try out an online "json verification" tool that developers use to ensure the json file is structured correctly. You could also ask chatgpt to verify it. If the structure is completely fine, then it's likely that something is not spelled correctly or you input an ID which is invalid (or that you should not use)

Hello! Just wanted some clarification on the Star Path cheat. So I saw a few posts back that said to activate it, then deactivate it then go one by one and get them. Just some questions:
1. After you deactivate it, do you have to close the game out first and then claim or can you just claim them after deactivating the cheat?
2. While waiting to see how CE does with the update, if I complete any task in Starpath, get the star path currency unlock items, what happens when I use the Starpath cheat if I already had some task done? Does is complete what I didn't? If I have a chat with someone twice and only chatted with them once will it complete it? Does it re-complete task for me? If it shows up again for what I completed does it give me more of the Starpath currency?
3. I always buy the Starpath, but if I didn't does it still work?

I've used it and what I can tell you is that yes it will show the previous ones that you completed but it won't give "extra" currency for those. You can claim those as normal and it will just be void and do nothing. NEWER tasks WILL reward as normal.

Hi, welcome. The cheat table has an option for the starpath. You have to activate it and then deactivate it and after that go and click on each duty until it shows that it’s completed. For the fishing potion I don’t know any other way of getting rid of it aside from fishing all the white bubbles until it wears off.

I've tried many ways to figure out how to lower the potions myself, but it seems to elude me. It's weird because I noticed sometimes when mining it takes 2 charges from 1 swing and sometimes it takes 1, so that makes it harder to pinpoint using reduction methods in CE (I think it has a few values, 1 where it's value is what it currently SHOWs you, the game value itself, and the value of what you'll have AFTER you mine something, or in between mines).

I've also tried numerous ways to modify it but for some reason it's just heavily obfuscated in some way. There was a point where I was modifying the amount of uses that the potions COULD give (and I was trying negative values) and that sort of worked but then it became a really high value.... really really messy stuff but I had a backup!

I think the easiest way for now would be to edit it from the save file directly. I don't know why these values are a pain in the ass to find but they are. It's hilarious how relatively simple everything else is, but these stupid buffs are a nightmare to edit correctly

You also need to use "Critter Feed Timer set to 0" with the memory one to continually get memories, otherwise you only get 1 a day.

Ohhhhh okay. Thank you. Would I have to swap between feeding it something it hates and loves each time or can I just do the hate once & just continue to feed it what it loves getting memories?

Also, Im not home right now, but isn't the critter feeding time also attached to Scrooge's shop reset? Ive never used it. I remember it saying it affects the mail except spam. Does that mean it can effect the mail like even after I close it out? (I do always make a back up save)

Just once, and yes it does affect stuff like that unfortunately, but it doesn't seem to do much harm as compared to the instant harvest. I suggest not leaving it on too long, and as long as you don't zone in and out with it active it doesn't do too much.

How can you edit the save file?

You have to decrypt it and decompress it first, which you can do in a number of different ways but there is a cyberchef script here somewhere that you can just drag and drop your json file onto. You may have to dig back through a good few pages to find it, I don't have it at convenience sorry!
I have a small python script that does it for me but that could be complicated to set up if you haven't done that sort of thing before.

Lastly there is a save-editor program but it has not been updated.. you can give it a try and see if it works. You can easily add and remove critters to the collection and a bunch of other things. It will decrypt the save file and you can modify it further. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=29455

It does not affect anything else except the villagers mail that they send you, you still get dreamsnaps etc.

Unfortunately CE can't be used to inject memories themselves, so there is nothing I can do.

What was the issue that happened? It just didn't spawn? Which quest exactly was it? Make 100% sure you haven't missed something. Gameloft usually takes almost 2 weeks to answer anything I'm afraid too.

In the future always make backups of your saves anyway just in case, making a daily back up before anything goes wrong can help having to restart if you run into game breaking bugs (I have yet to run into any myself *knock on wood* but I did break my game with the CE table).
