I don't think the Engine is Unreal Engine 5. If it's mentioned someplace, then sure, you'd be right (googling didn't return any results on UE5 being used).
Otherwise, from the mere picture I saw in my NVIDIA GeForce Experience GUI:
Nixxes doesn't work with UE4/5. All next-gen Tomb Raider games since 2013 till today and the majority of the Marvel games released so far use Foundation Engine (proprietary Engine). Check out Marvel's Avengers, for example. It doesn't use UE5.
From the features and what's been announced, graphics, etc. it's certainly the Engine I mentioned.

Lol @ "Insomniac Engine"

Well, I was wrong It's not Foundation Engine, it's something else. First time I see Nixxes going out of their way.

Re: [REQUEST] Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (steam)
Foundation engine is an engine made and used by Crystal Dynamics in their games, Spider-Man uses Insomniac's proprietary engine previously used in Sunset Overdrive I think.

Engine: Insomniac Engine
+1 Non-steam

Re: [REQUEST] Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (steam)
mods for costumes. whatever the engine used to make the game, I hope it will allow us to create and use mods in a relatively simple way
Re: [REQUEST] Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (steam)

Re: [REQUEST] Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (steam)
Just got the game (been waiting on a 1 gig line from my 30mps copper line - UGH) and first off, WHAT AN AMAZING PORT OF AN AMAZING GAME.
Been playing without even trying to use cheats and it's pretty amazing. I think the first thing I'm going after is default zoom distance. It's a beautiful game but I'd love to pull the camera back by about 20-40% or so. I've spent far too much time just getting up high and gazing off into the distance and then web slinging through the city for a bit .
This game feels JUST like the avengers but without that sluggish feeling that Iron Man had (Since when did Stark jet across places at 54KPH?). Spidey moves fast through the city The Avengers was online and was easy to hack so this has been super easy to find values, I just havent bothered changing anything yet because I haven't even come close to dying once yet. I guess I'm trying my best to make this game last and not hack it and remove the fun as this one is SUCH a gem so far. I suspect (unless I find something annoying) I'm just gonna play this through without any kind of cheats, but I do want to do some QOL stuff like camera but the settings menu is like a PC players dream come true
Have fun shooting white stuff in peoples faces everyone!

Just in case you didn't find it in the settings, there is an FOV slider in the game. It's fairly potent, with 50 points of range on the slider. But it creates a strong fish-eye effect so it might not be exactly what you're looking for.
