Use a hotkey to toggle a particular cheat on/off?

Is there a way to take a current cheat script (that does an AOB replacement when toggled on/off) and make it hotkeyable, so I can press a button in-game to turn the cheat on or off?

Yes.

Right-click the script in your table and select "Set hotkeys" then click "Create hotkey".
Assign what key you want to use (making sure that it's set to "Toggle script") and then press "OK".

Now the key you assigned will toggle the script on/off.

It works, but I I have to redo the hotkey every time I CE is reopened.

Is there a way to permanently save the edit so I don't have to recreate the shortcut every time?
