So at first I tried it in a mod, and figured I'd try it in the base game before sending a message. The trainer will not activate. I've tried it with the Lau Script and without and just clicking Find Player Base. Nothing happens. I have the Steam Version and I even validated the files to make sure no mod install messed anything up.
It seems like you simply forgot to attach Cheat Engine to the game process, try again
How to use this cheat table?
Install Cheat Engine
Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
Keep the list.
Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1
I did, multiple times, from the Application tab and Process tab, the one thing I forgot to mention.
Well, i have no idea why that doesn't work for you. All that i can suggest is to try to reinstall the game clean and after that try again. Maybe some mods interfere. I only tested it for Unification and Apocalypse
