Im a HUGE Dark Souls Fan.
I've played EVERY Dark Souls without any dirty CHEATS.
Now the game has FINALLY an ANTI CHEAT, I googled and found this ... cheater community????
Elden Ring gonna be a masterpiece!
Cheating in this game or any FromSoftware game does destroy EVERYTHING.
Its like using graffiti over the Mona Lisa!
Sure some people might have fun with cheating, but for me and most of the real dark souls player its vandalism!!!
Players need to understand the SOUL of a FromSoftware Game!
If you can't beat it you need to cheat ????
Maybe you should start to play "my little pony" or some walking simulators if you can't play hard games?

It's easy anticheat. It clearly states it when you launch the game.

So people in the DS3 modding discord figured out how to disable EAC, add a file called steam_appid.txt and add "1245620" to it and put it where the Elden Ring.exe is. Then launch the exe directly, don't launch it through steam. Elden Ring will disable online but EAC will be disabled.

This is some "tales from my parents basement" type nonsense. We're mostly grownups, we have lives, some of us have wives and children, who use cheats to make progressing faster. Its great to be able to tailor the challenge to our skill level and save time and stress.
When you grow up, you'll understand that people can play a singleplayer game they purchased, however the **** they want.

probably in some days there will be an EAC bypass that allow you to play online like in other games like Dragon Ball xenoverse 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, also if the game has an offline mode it has a local storage data so you can probably edit the save

Now the question remains how much of the save file you can edit not to get flagged online. Hoping it's like in DS3, as in, your level and stats must be consistent, maybe some stuff like titanite slabs being limited, but not much restrictions otherwise. Also interesting if there's any changes in trading and if you can dupe items using save backups with a friend. We'll need brave volunteers, haha.
