^ challenges: I just tried 2 of them, and they got saved just fine (did not even have to "force" a save ~ which you can also try obviously)...
a. I opened the challenge view, and then switched to ce
b. completed the challenge (~ changed only them 2 values)
c. returning ingame shows "completed" challenge
d. quit to main menu, and then loaded save again... and still a-ok

animus db: sorry, but not permanently saved. I'm sure i did the basic digging back then, so either i need to do some serious debugging, or it needs to be called from function, or... anywho: not spending time on this anytime soon.
(i hoped it would have worked as in ac3, but no cigar)

How to use this cheat table?

1. Install Cheat Engine
2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
4. Keep the list.
5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

^ this is a x32 game, so you should not "even" get this error (and i assume it states 'globalalloc' (with a c).
anyways: which version are you using (legal, ubisoft, steam, cracked ?)
plus: based on that error, i'm getting the feeling you are not running this in a "normal environment" ?! either thàt, or the crack is giving you issues...
=> as stated in descriptive: jackdaw vs = v1.07+

^ the only other thing i can come up with, is that your AV (or some other program) "locks" CE and/or the table. Take my word for it: as i stated above, it should NOT happen (unless the error showing is misleading ?!)...

ps: globalalloc = allocate memory so it can save - in this case the structure_pointer - in memory. so the message basically tells us that it can not EVEN alllocate/get some memory (4 bytes in this case) for CE to load up the info ?! (this is a windows <> CE interaction; nothing "special" about this)

^ It should be pretty clear to you now that i have no idea how to help you out here. My last suggestion: completely uninstall CE, download it again from CE forum... (and make sure you run CE with admin rights ~ it should normally prompt you to do just that)
ps: if you have no probs with other CT tables, then again no idea ?! if you do, you are on your own finding out what the heck causes it.

=> iow you need to EXPLICTLY launch the x32 version of CE, rather then using the generic launcher (which will always run the x64 if your winos is x64). I vaguely recall 2 other users encountering some bizar issues, and got this solved in the same way... ?!
