I noticed you need to have a panel with sect cheats open before you enter the sect compound or wait to next month for search to work properly if it didnt work first time.

Yeah you right sect cheats not working anymore, maybe because of minor patch 2 ago(

Not sure if it's fixed in the newest version, but relationship manipulation doesn't seem to work in the 2.4.8 version.
