If you want to rollback to pre-patch, you can do so through steam console. Use Win+R and type steam://nav/console
Then use the following commands, waiting for each to say completed before entering the next (it has to download the entire pre-patch game with the first command, so it will take a while)
download_depot 1086940 1086941 1809352506223943399
download_depot 1086940 1419652 1910503660306474644
download_depot 1086940 1419653 5306067341679766338


These 3 depots are saved under \Steam\steamapps\content\<depotid number>. Cut/paste and overwrite the contents to the game folder and delete \Data\Patch1.pak from the game folder. I'm running with steam in offline mode and skipped the launcher to prevent it updating.

How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

You had him as a companion already, correct? That does work. If you don't, like I do, still in Act 1, he is in camp, but you can't talk to him. Switching to him, he can't interact with anyone either.
no he wasnt a companion, still an npc in camp. the command foced him as a companion, allowed me to revive him, then allowed me to talk to him and start the thaniel quest.
Does your journal entry still say Halsin was defeated? Did you have that quest already active somehow? I'm not that far yet. I am at the mountain pass, just about to heading into the Githyanki Creche.

For me, he resurrects, add to the party, starts off at level one, and zero dialogue.

Downloading the first one now. Hopefully this works. If I can get through one playthrough, that would be great!

I added Aura of Murder using the cheat table. But it causes NPC's to run away from me when I approach them, throws them out of whack for pathing and such. I tried disabling it using the console, with no success. Anyone have a quick fix in removing it?

Anyone know how to trigger the tadpole persuasion dialogue or outright unlock the illithid power menu for shadowheart? I messed around with tags to no avail, and adding flags don't work for me.

Sadly the console commands are still borked. Loading a saved game as instructed allows the commands to be registered but for some reason item spawner just refuses to work, I click it to spawn an item after making sure my save is loaded properly and nothing happens, the x doesn't even appear in the box.

Just commenting to say I have the exact same issue. Was able to add him and resurrect him using the code, but once you get to the part where he asks you to meet you by the Lake you simply can not talk to him and progress it. I may have to rollback the patch. Please update me if you can find a way to talk to him at the lake. Thank you for the help!

Just commenting to say I have the exact same issue. Was able to add him and resurrect him using the code, but once you get to the part where he asks you to meet you by the Lake you simply can not talk to him and progress it. I may have to rollback the patch. Please update me if you can find a way to talk to him at the lake. Thank you for the help!
i've decided to just roll back myself to get the quest done, rather than waste time experimenting for potentially no answer

The devs really do not intend for you to have both companions, sadly, it feels like you're gimping yourself really badly if you want a drow companion.

Not sure what the issue would be there. Make sure you have enough disk space and maybe try running steam as admin

Further testing shows that pretty much none of the console commands work. No matter how many times I load my saved game.

Trying to use the "Weapon Status Enchantments" ... worked before but as of today I can no longer activate these commands. Just trying to get that divine light option onto a weapon.

If you're unable to get the actual "Register Commands" box to populate, you need to click the checkmark for it WHILE loading, not after loading as far as I can tell. Basically load your save, immediately tab into cheat engine, wait until you see the command list pointer refresh and immediately click register commands and it should open up.

Now I can't say how many work, but the few I've utilized worked fine.

Has the ability to edit ability stats been addressed yet? This feature hasn't worked since v3. When enabling The ability stat points option and then saving, the subsequent reload does nothing. I just tried again w/ Table v7 and the feature still doesn't populate the values. The Saved Character Pointers doesn't activate either.

Hold off, it looks like they have an update I wasn't aware of. grrr

I had installed the patch they had pulled. Mr Uninstall time. sigh
