On promote it is possible to find and edit experience of troops, search for value, then promote, search for new. Edit to more than 150k (I personally choose this value) to level to max level (5) and you are all set . Since the whole unit design and name changes, I had difficulty finding the attack power, health, etc. Also too many variables are left.

for exp value what you use? because i use seach with 4 byte cant find it..i use all cant find it either so weird.
Look for value 2015 (lets say) you have enough to promote, once finished look for new value 15 now, and it should show 4-5 results. Edit one to higher value, go back from troop view, and then enter it again to see if exp has changed, it is has, increase it to high value and promote all the way to level 5.
