Hi ALl,
I'm a totally blind gamer who loves fairly complex strategy games which use a lot of tooltips. My current approach for reading these is to use OCR, which has a bunch of issues with game font, among other things. I'm wondering if I can use something like CE to get the tooltip text out of the game and either copy it to the clipboard, or speak it in real-time using text-to-speech.
I've done a bit of exploration and found an address which seems to change depending on which part of the map is selected, which is a good start at what I'd like to do, but I'm not sure how to generalize this to all the tooltips that display when I hover over UI elements, character info, etc.
I'd appreciate any insights into how to begin doing this. The info is available in the game, I just need to figure out how to extract it.
Thanks much
