Kingdoms of Amalur: Item save editor [pre-releases]
I'm still updating this tool to work with the remaster, and I mostly support everything I use to support for the original game.
new updated version _1: fixes an issue where adding an item to the stash would not set the correct flags and mark it as a "misc" item. The original would fix this error, the remaster does not.
Some notes:
- only modify save games with the name svd_fmt_5_X.sav. The first four saves are special and if you corrupt them you get into an infinite loop.
- very large save games start using compression. I don't support that. If the editor cannot resolve a single item your save is compressed.
- The static resource data is dumped from the original. So using change definition may not lead to the correct result and some buffs may have inaccurate icons and text.
- DO NOT MODIFY EQUIPPED ITEMS. It will corrupt your save or crash your game.
- The stash tab will unlock on save games that have found the stash, and are not in the same room as the stash.
- You can add and remove items from your stash, but DO NOT remove items in your stash with slotted gems. The definitions I use are based on the original, so they might be inaccurate.

Following your instructions this is working fine. Thank you!
Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Item save editor [pre-releases]
Do you know the save file location of the non-steam version of this game?
EDIT: Never mind, found it

What's the location? I can add it to my logic to discover save locations. Right now I do it for the remastered steam edition.

GOG: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\LocalLow\THQNOnline\Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning\autocloud\save

The binary in the _1 should add items correctly. As I now set the inventory, and the EquipType flag for weapon and shields. Which item did you try to add?
Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Item save editor [pre-releases]
I tried to add all the unique greatswords and some armor, all of them appear in MISC.
The item buff works great, just missing a few armor piece and greatswords sadly..

I've updated my editor and now have released a full fledged release into the world with an active updater. If you have issues let me know what version of the editor and the game you are using.
Latest release is here:

I'm currently only able to test against Steam version CS6584b.

Save Editor Version: v3.0.212
KOA:RR Version: Steam Release CS6584B
I had a question. My whole purpose to using your Save Editor is so I can alter items into ones that I can Salvage so I can get the Components necessary to craft my own.
To that end it seems to work quite well, but there are items that I believe should show up in the Salvage Menu that do not, like the Studded Leather chestpiece. I tried changing it around to different variations of it (I did not do every single one, about 4 of them though), and even tried changing it to the Fine Studded Leather chestpiece, with no luck. Same thing with the Ash Spectre (The Lightning version). I believe I tried all 3 or 4 that were in there for the lighting one.
If you know if that is intentional by the game, or if I changed something that should not have been Salvageable to begin with, please let me know? I would appreciate it. Aside from that, is there a way to add in equipment?
Thanks for the help!

Re: Kingdoms of Amalur: Item save editor [pre-releases]
Hey there, i just want to ask if anyone got a good idea for some bonus fate gain.
I tried the +x% fate as a player/ item-buff but both didn't really work for me.
I don't want to use cheat engine "all the time" therefore having some kind of "buff" would be really nice!
Thanks for the help!

Hmm, I haven't inspected. I know there is now "Can be salvaged" flag, but I imagine if you took an item that was salvagable and changed it to a higher level one it should just work.
It's also possibly they changed more in that type definition section, I haven't fully investigated.
