Save scum method on page 96, I completed BP's challenge card in less than an hour

Hi, I've tried the backup saves method as mentioned on pg96, but when I reloaded to my backup saves (both 1st and 2nd), the challenges remained completed, which means I can no longer get any points out of them.

Did I miss any steps or do anything wrong?
