Tried that a few times. Even restarted my PC and reinstalled the game. Still gets stuck. Something is wrong with my save.

Yikes, seems like I've gotten lucky I guess, I've tried it 3 times and only got the loading loop when I went to start the new adventure when I edited the "steamclient64..." something address. All worked normally after it, I believe you can always start a new archive and see where that takes you.
Can confirm that this works, tested it right now, game crashed if I changed all values at once (31 addresses for me), but when I changed lets say 10 values at the same time, and then went in game then repeated it 2 more times it worked perfectly when I went through the portal.
Tested it the 2nd time, had about 70 addresses, game just froze if I tried to edit all values at once, did about 20-25 at the time and it worked.

Can you make a quick youtube of this? or is that asking too much?

Did you try clearing the "C:UsersYourNameAppDataLocalLowduoyiGunfire Reborn" save location? Didn't clear my save but reset most preferences if that is causing the crash.
On the other hand, I investigate the crash cheat by tagging them with number. In summary, the module responsible to change your soul is the python36. So, you probably have more luck narrowing to only change that name rather than all the module.

Yeah, I've deleted that entire folder already. Whenever I open the game, it also opens the UnityCRashHandler64. I don't even see an error, but its there. It errors the second I click on the game now. Stuck on the first screen before the OK menu, so I can't even start a new save.

Well, I thought a crazy method but I'm pretty sure it will work for you. Go to your main local disk drive and go to the search menu and type/paste this number ''1217060". ;)
Hi, how did you edit the soul essence in the talent screen? can you give some steps and are you able to increase the abilities like health and shield after editing the soul essence? thanks

Its only the fake value, they are kidding you.

It reverted after I restarted the game, but all I did was play a round until i had enough essence to unlock something. I just scanned for value after adding and removing the cheapest talent. Found the address and changed the value and unlocked whatever I could. Getting it to save is another story - but more than I originally could afford to unlock stayed unlocked, just not all of it. I'll give it another go and see if I can get anything to stick.
I followed instructions given by @ShadowFlame and @gregory144 a huge thanks to both of you guys and I got the values to stick. I had to force close using taskill in cmd but the cheat engine had all the dlls loaded with the essence value then the character died at dessert level but the talent screen had 999999 souls which I entered before and now both cat and dog are at level 160 woohoo but for some reason I lost the save and had to restart again ? wierd thing is the values need to be changed in dlls like python.dll unityhandler.dll etc usually I change in pointer addresses

Did you loose the save after you used the essence to max out the level for both characters?

Thanks for the detail steps. Does the Max talent level cap off at 161 or where you able to go higher? Just curious. I was able to upgrade all the talents and it stands at 161

Bad thing about this is the save is lost we need to restart from level 1 again

Did anyone try the same steps with shield and health values? I am thinking they would stick too once you restart from the save.

Did you try to change the health and shield values with the python36 module?

Alright, so I managed to erase my destroyed save and start over. Python36 is the way to go. I had 4 values after one search, changed them and it worked. No infinite loading. Whew.
