a very small table for Grimrock 1. I love this game (as a player) but I hate it as a cheater.
Uses a Lua Engine, and usually I can't get anything done in these games because using the disassembler leads us only to the binary code of the lua interpreter, so changing for example the code for subtraction, every single subtraction in the whole game is affected.
But in this case I found some code which helps. It's not perfect because sometimes it pushes all character values up to 1000 and sometimes only some of them.
Anyway, result is that every enemy goes down after one hit with the bare hand. So it makes the game "slightly" easier
have fun,
Marc
How to use this cheat table?
Install Cheat Engine
Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
Keep the list.
Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1
To play as Toorum: Extract this file in My Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock
Start a new game. Create a character with the name Toorum and press Enter. Even if you create a full party and name the last character as Toorum it will still start with Toorum in solo mode (probably why he died in the dungeons). His stats are superior but playing this game solo is just nuts.
Zip file password: grimrock
Side note: this cheat table does not work with my gog install. However, a table is not really required with this game. One can spawn any number of tomes of wisdom and become quite powerful. Everything until the very last battle is a breeze if all your required skills start around 33-35 -- and I doubt any cheat table can help with the last battle. If you're really struggling to survive you can also spawn tomes of health.
spawn("tome_wisdom") spawn("tome_health")
I did however use cheat engine to help with some of the timed puzzles. I'm just not coordinated enough to time everything perfectly and being able to slow the game down to 50% was immensely useful. In fact, I used this even for the last battle because at normal speed the bloody rusted old cube would keep rolling over me. At 50% speed I beat it in one attempt.
