i tried the save editor nothing shows up in cold storage with the save editor plus it doesnt work with merctech and pirate tech
There's also a mod that lets you 'special order' mechs, called Mech Delivery. It takes some time and money (in game) to order them, but it has numerous variants, including Hero mechs.
Unfortunately, it appears to have some issues with Piratetech, so I'd have to assume it will have issues with Merctech as well.
If you want to give it a shot, it's on Nexus, but I'm not sure if it's on Steam or Epic.
How to use this cheat table?
Install Cheat Engine
Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
Keep the list.
Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

Not the Rep that gets you rank, but the rep with each faction. Because that's a pain to try and raise (without making others hate you).
